However, the export function raises questions:
1) Why would I need a thumbdrive? Is there no direct export via USB or WiFi to my Mac?
2) Can mixed projects (audio/Midi) also be exported as single tracks?

Cool for storage i guess or a quick demo for an artist while in standalone but for further processing youd 1) save as a MPC project and open MPC as a vst in your DAW of choice to get the stereo or multitrack bounce or 2) you can save it as an Ableton Live project and open it tracked out in Live
Could you please do a video showing us how to save expansions and kits to a thumb drive as to not eat up all of your memory?
Man, you're really doing what Akai isn't but should be: actually showing us how to use this thing! So frustrating having a product without detailed instructions. I really appreciate the content you're making. One thing that I'm really struggling with is getting expansion content onto my MPC Key. Could you possibly do a video on how best to do that please? 🙏

He visto una infinidad de tutoriales del Akai MPC61 pero los únicos que me han sido útiles son los tuyos, pienso que no basta con ser un experto en un tema sino que además hay que saber cómo enseñarlo. Me puedes decir cuántas pistas es posible crear en una secuencia? porque hay un número limitado de plugins para las pistas, además quiero saber si al cambiar de secuencia se empieza de cero con respecto a la carga de sonidos. You don’t have to use Protools or Logic Pro, just use the MPC2 software and link your Mpc Key 21 to it and load your project in there. You can use your Vst plugins and Au plugins on Mac OS as well.
Just found out about this keyboard. Looks awesome and cool you can do this, but does it not do multitrack audio over USB so you could just record it directly into the DAW?

how do you format the ssd that you installed in the mpc 61 key?
I’m having issues when exploding tracks. On some of my songs, the tracks that are exploded have empty waveforms. How can I fix this?

Ich sage Danke fur die Antwort, un wenn das geht sie dann zeigen wie man das machen kann!. Danke und weiter so.
Great explanation. Could you possibly deal with making a song: how would you go about recording the basic verse (let's say 32 bars) and then recording the bridge (say 8 bars). Do you do two separate sequences and join them together for a complete song or do verse and bridge all on one sequence?? Confused in Austin, Thanks
To do it that way think of each sequence as its own part. So sequence 1 = Intro, sequence 2 =Verse, etc... you can name them anything. Once you recorded all your tracks for each part (sequence) you go into Song Mode, hit REC and tap the sequences in order of the song (Intro, Verse, Prechorus, Chorus, Verse 2, etc) to make them play in the correct order. From there you can export the song or continue to mix/master the song before you export.
Using in standalone mood transferring those stems to a DAW. One Question tho What about the automated Effects that are applied on the MPC to the overall mix, when exporting stems are the Effects printed to the stems file?
What if you want to export stems with plug in effects on them? Can you do that or are the stems always going to be dry?
The exported stems include all the effects on them when they are rendered. If you wanted them dry I'm assuming you'd have to disable the effects.
Hey there, any idea how to make the tracks louder without distorting or fuzziness? I exported to a USB and loaded it on my computer as a WAV file, but it’s super quiet. Help! 😭
do you have to format the thumbdrive to FAT 32?........or what format is required before it will be recognized by akai?
Would you loose sound quality if exporting to usb.

Just to be clear, you never want to export a mixdown as MP3, this is strictly for showcasing. In reality you would want to export to lossless format. WAV is the most common preferred way.

Im having an issue where after i export my song sequence, it changes the tune of my bassline when i replay the song sequence. When i check the exported file, that's also out of tune. I cant figure out why. Anyone?
So I accidentally saved a mixdown to internal. How do I get that file to USB
@DS do you know if the Akai Key 61 will take a 4TB drive, I see most people put 2 TB in them?
I think it should. From Akai’s website: Virtually all drive sizes are supported, but we recommend formatting drives to exFAT, FAT32, or NTFS for the best results.
Thanks for your great videos on this keyboard. I’m seriously considering buying it but I have a number of questions. One that comes up with this video is can you export midi files? And, as someone else has said can you export directly to your computer via Wi-Fi or cable.? I believe some DAW’S can convert audio files to midi. One of my other negatives with this keyboard, and I guess it applies to just about every keyboard that has on board sounds, is that I can’t use my many favourite VST’s on this device. If I could it would be a no brainer, I’d get it tomorrow. Do you know of any keyboards that can import VST’S to use on board as a standalone performance keyboard? Thanks for doing these videos. They are very helpful in helping me decide whether or not to get it this keyboard, and if I do will be very helpful in using it.

Pon el archivo en tu computador, y desde google ve a wetransfer ( es gratuito), ingresa el correo de destino (el tuyo u otro), carga el archivo (doble click en el signo +) pon un título y un mensaje en los ITEM correspondientes y pincha "ENVIAR" luego llegará un código a tu correo, ingrésalo y pincha confirmar, eso es todo.
