I was really impressed by this one. It was the first time I spent some quality time with a Dullahan and it didn't disappoint me. :) Have fun with it! //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses thanks Kris, I will 👍🏻Mine is actually an AT-24 in trans black, but I have to admit I'm digging the solid finish too. I'm not particularly a heavy metal fan, but I have been impressed by the warm and bluesy tones that I heard in many reviews of the Dullahan. Plus, it's nearly 2kg lighter than my current guitar 😁 Alberto
Thanks! Being a lucky "early" owner of an Ibanez Q54, I can tell that to set action and intonation is much easier than in the other two brands that you showed. And the time to change strings is equivalent to the one of a guitar with locking tuners.
Bought a new Legator 7 string headless (Ghost) from Thomann the other day. Maybe you can make a short setup video on these. Having a hard time tuning it down (1 step) and getting back to full intonation without string Buzz :(
Just make sure to Either buy soldered strings or solder your High E string when your using headless guitar... if not eventually the knot the factory ties will come loose and youll wonder why your high E is always going out of tune until the ball end just gives and youll have to replace it.... Soldering yourself takes like 5 seconds to do or pay extra for presoldered strings
How tight does the set screw on the nut end string retainer need to be to hold the string without stripping the threads. Most of these headless guitars use zinc alloy or pot metal string retainers on what would be the headstock. I bought a Mooer GTRS W900 and wanna upgrade the strings to Ernie Ball Power Slinky's 11-48 but don't wanna risk stripping the holes for the string retainer as Mooer has made it clear they don't sell replacement parts for their guitars. So if I over tighten it and strip the retainer, I'm kinda screwed.
Ich möchte eine kopflose Gitarre mit einem doppelt verriegelbaren, vollständig schwebenden Trem. Unter 600€? Ist das überhaupt eine Sache oder muss ich mein Budget erhöhen? wait what? Possibly a polar light purple PIa first?
Haha, dude that's spot on!! It's almost scary. 😆 So what you're really asking is "I'd like a HB Dullahan with a floating trem. Is that going to happen?" Am I right? 😅 Factual answer to that: I don't know if that's going to happen. Predictive answer: I'm pretty sure that is going to happen one day. Haha //Kris
@@SamLowryDZ-015 I use a single ball string adapter (#STADG06) for my Steinberger Spirit GT-Pro Deluxe which normally uses double ball strings. It is small and does the job. You may find one similar for your model.
It’s gone for the ergonomics, so the guitar is lighter. These guitars are hyper focused on ergonomics so the main reason behind most if not all of the design choices is to be more ergonomic
I don't like headless guitars.... they just feel wrong to me. I don't mean as a tactile feel, I mean inside. It's like going to the toilet but having to hold someone elses Johnson, while they have to hold yours.... yuk
i never liked them either, but as i got older they grew on me and strandbergs are really light and comfortable..... i recommend them..... I was always ST type guy and now i only have strandbergs

So much innovation in these, one of my teachers had a Steinberger (the one with a full body) the trans-trem and he used the double ball end strings.
Just got an Aguda Black Hole and it's my first headless guitar. The parts are mostly the same with what you've shown here. Thank you so much. Cheers!
This video will be soooo useful when a headless guitar lands on my bench. First seen 3.3.'22. Dear future me, how long it took before it was needed?
Perfect timing, I'm just waiting for my new Dullahan to be delivered 😁

Anxious for the Dullahan to come in 7 and 8 string versions.
Nice, just got a strandberg ^^
Would be great an episode focused on speakers and cabinets, danke shoen!

That is pretty crazy just to change the strings!
Haha, it's actually easier than it looks and much easier than changing strings on a Floyd Rose guitar. 😆 //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses My neighbors learn Romanian swear words when I have to change strings on my ones with Floyds!
What about the classic Steinbergs?
Ich glaub da fehlt einfach nur was, wenn man's dran macht sieht's wieder schön aus 😛
GTT question: how do you resolve intonation issues with an SC type guitar? I've maxed out the saddles but the tones are still not right.
How go to drop a b c f g?
How to tune it?
New shirt day?😉
It was about time, haha! //Kris

So your saying there’s a chance 🤗🎉
Guitars with no headstocks just look so strange to me.
And for headless guitars with double ball strings ?
Buy an adaptor that lets you use single ball strings!
@@humperdidoo I'll assume you are being sarcastic or just plain stupid as there is no reason to fit an 'adapter'

I dont like the looks of headless guitars. It looks like its amputated.
Did they remove it for sounds of only for the looks?

The head of a guitar is pretty pointless unless you like head banging with it.... I use to hate headless also but strandbergs grow on you....
