    I'd love to hear if he has any stories about the quick costume changes Michael did between Working Day and Night and Beat It on the BAD and Dangerous tours. Eddie was the one who theatrically pulled away the sheet revealing the empty chair where Michael sat moments before. They must have done a LOT of rehearsals for that to work as well as it did on stage. What was it like being part of that illusion?
    What was it like doing the Lean live on tour? With the speed of the choreography, was it difficult to find the right spot and get locked in on time?
    Looking forward to this, thanks! 🙂

      Look Up ruclips.net/video/YY5SOJ8PTKc/видео.html
      Michael went in a trap door to under the stage, under the chair. The chair opens and michael could sink in and go down.
      He then changed under the stage and ran to the cherry picker on the other side of the stage

    • @MillisecondFalcon
      @MillisecondFalcon 2 года назад +5

      @@prestonspolicy Thanks for the link. I think Michael's version was more impressive because he had to go under the stage, remove the outer WDAN costume, put on the Beat It jacket and cloak, and get onto the cherry picker - all in a very short space of time in a confined space with minimal lighting! The illusion in the second half of the Bad tour was probably more challenging, and more impressive, because the WDAN costume was white and he disappeared from a raised platform.

    • @prestonspolicy
      @prestonspolicy 2 года назад +5

      @@MillisecondFalcon the raised platform all he did was climb up a rope that was in the tube thing. He ran across a covered scaffolding and down stairs by the Cherry picker and met with bush to change jumped on as soon as he goes “ho!”

I wondered who he was all the time.Many years later, I realized he was Dominic. I watched the video more than 10,0000 times till it was totally worn out. I screamed when the video casette tape cut. I am so happy to watch his dance on the internet! How he expresses himself makes me think he is so cultivatited, generous, cheerful and hard working. There was no way I was going to sit through an hour and half with this guy (not knowing anything about him) and not only did I but I completely had my mind blown. This interview is amazing and unreal. Part of the story to and with this interview is that I don't think I have ever even seen this guy interviewed after decades and decades....there is a real story here in terms of how awful and incompetent the media and people are about missing such opportunities to learn and question things that should have happened a long time ago before now. This video is AMAZING as well as the clips which were very smartly done by the way!!! GREAT JOB!!!

    Thank you, Red, for this excellent interview with Eddie Garcia, one of Michael's backup dancers. I really enjoyed the interview! Eddie Garcia has achieved so much in his career; he started dancing with famous people at a very young age. I appreciate how he stood up for Michael! He made it clear that Michael was a kind, sweet, and empathetic artist and team member. Eddie himself provided inspiring, humble, and creative insights into his work. "Make sure you're good to yourself and be good to the people around you" - that is beautifully said! Eddie is an inspiring and excellent dancer! I love all your interviews, Red!

      I've watched a lot of your videos. You're making history! I did see the interview with Lavelle, too. He's one of my FAVORITE people. He makes me cry. He loves MJ so much. I find myself refering to MJ in the present tense, also, as Lavelle said he does. I don't know why I do it. I think it's because I really have a heart for Michael, and he shouldn't have been taken from us (and his children) so early. People are so cruel.😢
      Lavelle did a wonderful video a while back about the false accusers slandering him when MJ can't defend himself. I felt Lavelle's pain, for real. What a beautiful man he is. MJ had some really great people who worked with him, they stayed with him for decades! The BAD Tour group, especially!

      I had a dance teacher named Lisa Stone who had just been in 2 Janet Jackson videos and worked with Paul Abdul right before she came to our studio in the late 80s. I don’t know if Eddie might have known her at some point. I have such fond memories of her from my childhood! And thank you so much for giving an interview about the substance of the artistry because it’s almost always been the case that all interviews about MJ are just about superficial aspects of who he was as a person instead of about him as an artist and trying to get information about the substance of what he actually did is almost impossible, including from people who worked with him.
      Or the people can’t think objectively and just spend the whole time idealizing a human being and sound like sycophants.
      It’s so sad that all of the personal stuff just seemed to totally overshadow everything else. Thank you for your great interview! :-)

    Michael was cognizant of who he was, because he paid attention to greatness. Those spins he did in Janet's video was eye catching I remember that too. But its funny I noticed him in Smooth Criminal before this interview. Michael paid attention to the details. A friend of mine was in Bad and Smooth Criminal. He said Michael didn't want to work with his Brother. Only one of the Brothers. He's the guy Michael Blow the dust in his face from the Cue Ball at the pool table. He was the one who broke the pool stick.
