  • The first part of my macro world talk at the photography was going to talk about the simplest of photography projects, creative paper photography. Since the talk was cancelled, I thought I would make a video about it.

Great idea.... last year I was awarded Best Color Print of the Year in a photo contest that involved 14 camera clubs. My image was simply "White Paper & Light".

Very cool Stewart. You've revealed a good use for the MK-12 flashes with gels.

Great video. I love when a great photographer like you shows a technique that an average guy like me can do without a bunch of fancy expensive equipment.

Absolutely beautiful images! (Maybe this is what M$soft did for it's win11 wallpaper. I think they used a roll of toilet paper. Anything to make fun of them!) Thanks for the inspiration.

Very nicely done! 🙂 I once tried this with tracing paper way back in my film-camera days (remember manual light meters? Calculating flash distances? Bracketing exposures in the hope of getting just 1 decent shot out of 36? Aargh!) and got some very pleasing results. Odd, but pleasing.
    P.S. - Regards to Bob...
