    I remember watching this draft, and getting all caught up in the drama of watching him fall. he had such a great future ahead of him, so tragic, nobody should die at 19.

      He died because of doping use. So, well...

    How weird is it they said his idle is jagr. When he passes away jagr was sitting right next to him. Died next to his idle. Rip

    It is such a shame really that that had to happen, it's honestly heartbreaking. It seems like he is gonna become an elite nhl player here, and just like that he is gone. I bet he would have been amazing for the Rangers as well 😢

    • @MrSharkFIN
      @MrSharkFIN 4 года назад

      But he died because he used doping/drugs. If he didn't, he probably wouldn't have died nor would he have been picked

      @@MrSharkFIN You obviously don't know shit if you say he's doping. A russian is literally the best center on your national team. Not to mention Fins are ugly af just look at Laine lmao.

    I remember watching this draft, and it was quite sad, to watch the kid drop, kinda the Cam Fowler of that years draft. He would have been a good one. bummer.

    What is wrong with you? This kid had a hell of a career in front of him. It is a tragedy that he is gone. No one knew that this was going to happen and I lay money that the Rangers haven't even thought, "Hey, maybe we shouldn't have picked him." You've got to be kidding me! RIP Cherry. You will be missed by all hockey fans around the world. You were a great talent. Have fun playing with the boys in Heaven.

    gotta give him credit, Ovechkin, helped the reputation of the Russian players, just a few years ago, Due mainly to that D-bag Yashin, nobody wanted to draft Russians, now you've got Tarasenko tearing it up for the Blues...and, umm, umm...nevermind.

  • @vidEvWill
    @vidEvWill 16 лет назад

    yeah, I think it will take a period of years...but he will be great if he justifies the Rangers faith in him. He also needs to get stronger, he's a bit skinny but he'll bulk up with age and time.

    i just think that the reports of him blood doping were a bit too vague. "alexei cherepenov was blood doping." that's pretty much all we heard, and then the whole thing went away.

    It's such a tragedy that a young and talented player died. Alexei's very cute too, especially at 1:03. I just want to kiss him! ^-^

  • @GOODPLAYA20
    @GOODPLAYA20 14 лет назад

    @hockeyman1117 Brendl, Jessiman and Montoya were bad picks. Blackburn, had a nerve injury that no one know about and Cherepanov died. They only got screwed with two picks. But now that Gordie Clark's the one making the picks, we're getting guys that are NHL caliber that got drafted in the 3rd and 4th round as well as our 1st round picks.
