  • This tutorial starts with a basic apron shaped pattern- very easy to tweak the sizing based on a child or adult or whomever you are making the apron for.
The criss cross ties are hands-down the most comfortable apron design out there, staying clear of your neck, it's fit is comfortable enough to wear all day!
The sewing and design in my tutorial is freestyle and creative- meant to inspire you to come up with your own design. Remember, denim looks great raw and worn, don't be afraid to leave edges exposed and let them fray with wear and washing. Add pockets, visibly mended areas or even expose holes.
Denim, no matter how worn, is timeless and a perfect material for upcycling. Give your old, favorite pair of jeans another chapter in their life as a unique, eco-friendly utilitarian garment.
YOU'RE the designer- let your creative juices flow on this project!!

I just wanted to thank you ! I asked all kindergarten parents for a pair of jeans & I made all the kiddos aprons using your pattern, I split the legs and used the seem to center the pattern that way I could make it using one piece , I used the pockets as front apron pockets too . The kids loved them !!!!!

What is the material and where did you get it at time stamp 5:21? Great video and I'll be watching more!

The strap material is called webbing. You can find at a local fabric store or online supplier(search webbing). You purchase it by the yard. The webbing I use in the video was 1 1/4” wide. Thanks for asking!🙂

I'm gonna try making It for a 10 years old child. Is It ok? Or isn'it big enough?

I would measure the child and change up and length or width measurements as needed. You might want to make it a bit bigger for more coverage!
