      @@wendyev310 yeah they are foam and get crushed in 20 minutes. When you sit on it for a month the foam will get squashed and provide no support.

      @@blondesigns Did you need to cut the pool noodles in half the long way? I really do love how that came out. What was your total costs with the material-noodles-wood-brackets/screws-etc...? I'm guessing between $35 & $40 tops.
      Am I close? Either way, you sure saved some serious money. Furniture has a ridiculous mark-up & anytime someone can do what you did, they really should. Great work! 😊👍✌💕

    Great tutorial! I think what people forget when they see the $400 ottoman in the showroom is the LABOR and overhead and shipping involved in producing furniture. If you charged someone for your labor involved in producing your DIY ottoman plus the materials, and added all of that up, plus the overhead to put it in a showroom to sell it, suddenly the $400 would seem like a good deal. ;)

      New a guy that worked in an Ashley home furnishings, the mark up is like 55% on pieces 8n the show room. When they go on clearance they mark it 50 percent off and still make money.
