I reckon you would've heard this a million times, i think i remember suzy saying she was an enya fan at one point, but this video is such a work of art and it may have been a while since you've heard/seen it. the track is hauntingly beautiful, as are enya's eyes, she has seriously beautiful eyes like some sort of celtic goddess.

I decided in my 20s (20yrs ago) that her song "On my way home" has to be heavily featured at mine.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
All her songs are hauntingly beautiful. She has a one of a kind voice, so pure and gentle.

When you hear this song you are feeling like your floating on air, so beautiful, soft and gentle and soothing like so many of her songs. Just gorgeous!

The inspiration of the video is the illustrations of the American painter Maxfield Parrish. Actually, all the sets of the video is based on his paintings.
Also, the "painting" effect was handmade, by ten artists painting non-stop for three weeks.
Did you know that Enya produces, writes, sings, and plays the instruments on pretty much all of her music? Her talent is infinite and she is basically a musical angel or fairy or both!
Well, that's partially true. She shares the creative process with her producer and his songwriter wife (Nicky and Roma Ryan).
By the way, some people may not know this, but all the harmonies are not backup singers. She does all her backup singing herself prior to singing the main part.

I also like it so much. It's one of the very few songs not composed by herself, as "Marble Halls" or the traditional Christmas songs she has recorded.

When he asks the question in the beginning during the song, her response was basically "shut up and just listen" 😂 I feel that way too with her songs. No need for commentary when your are being transcended out of your body into a paradise.
You need to check out Clannad "In a lifetime" Clannad is Enyas family band and extremely successful in their own right. She left Clannad back in the late 70s and went her own way.
I will always remember Clannad as the Robin of Sherwood band.
The voice Ireland her and Dolores O'Riordan (the cranberries) are two of the best female voices I've ever heard, and they're both Irish

Enya é maravilhosa. Sou um grande fã de sua música. Vocês vão ganhar meu like por divulgar o trabalho dessa grande artista. Em minha opinião, esse é um dos vídeos mais lindos e bem produzidos da artista. E a canção certamente é a sua maior obra-prima.
The tempo is 3/4, so technically is a waltz ladies and gentlemen. That’s why you feel like immediately surrounded by the atmosphere in this music: you’re invited to dance like in a waltz with your imagination. Feel the bass marking the steps and you’re dancing with Enya. That’s why I use to call her Genya not Enya: it’s incredible difficult to make a 3/4 waltz a blockbuster for the masses like she did.

Enya herself transcends beauty and melody. She ascended to a level thought to be exclusive to the realm of the angels. Her voice has a haunting melodic beauty than cannot and will not ever be reproduced!

She's my Celtic Queen lol. Love Enya's music. This os my favourite song and video of hers. Don't you just hate though how RUclips covers half the screen at the end of these videos with the suggestions for other videos to watch? My folks raised me on CCR, Uriah heep, Tom petty , but also played lots of enya and Lorena mckennet who also rips , super eclectic mix and I’ll forever be grateful for it. Shepherd Moons was great. The title track was sequenced before this. I think the last 2 tracks were the strongest. African Winds and Thoughts (but I think they were translated into Latin and Gaeic language?)
