I'm 74, just closed my antiques and collectibles store after 10 years (previous 40 years in Silicon Valley/computer exec. and never knew what I was missing. )I just recently started watching cooking on you tube, never watched anything on you tube and one day I stumbled on your channel and have been hooked. I feel like I've missed so much and have a lot of catching up to do. I can see where my water coloring can come in to play. I teach water color and my students have mentioned Pintrist. It's next, I'm almost afraid. lol But you are my number one go to! I've saved all your links with notes. And I'm buying supplies today to make these. I love every one! Tell your mom she's great too! LOL ;) ;) ;)
Hi girl you did such a wonderful job of all your creations I loved the window the sawmill the pitch of The heart and keys every one was perfect I loved each and all thank you for your ideas for all of us. Thank you
... Sarah Jane Hello.friend and fellow diyer!! I wanted to leave a comment to let you know that I love your channel and all your crafts. Thank you for all of your insperation, I admire your ability to wrangle small children and still manage time to share your creations with all of us. I love to craft although I don't get to create very often due to financial issues I have going on. Anywho, love love love YOU!!
I just subscribed to your channel and I'm absolutely enjoying your crafts. I'm gonna make the mason jar wall decor. I love it. I can't really say which one is my favorite craft because I love them all... Thank you from Lisa in Columbus, GA for sharing your diy's... ❤
I have to say I have seen many DIY videos and This is the best one by far, I love all of your projects you are so talented I have subscribed and give you a big thumbs up, looking forward to watching more of your videos 😘💞👍
What marker do you use to make your lines? I so love your channel.....I have never been crafty at all but watching your channel I started and wow I do have some craft in me......I’ve gotten better overtime and now I’m actually coming up with ideas myself.....I use chalk paint a lot as well just because I love the coverage and it’s thicker paint so less layers.....thank you for your help in helping me become from not crafty to a true crafter....❤️
Happy new year Katelyn I’m so glad you are back I have a question for you regarding the first project with the puzzle pieces which I absolutely love I am sitting here madly painting these little tiny pieces from 500 piece puzzle with a glove on my hand because I don’t want to get chalk paint all over my nails LOL and I wondered if you thought it would work if you glued the pieces on first and then painted them?
Your sawmill is my favorite!! This was one of the first things I saw on u tube, you were the one who inspired me to start crafting!! I am 64 and had quit crafting years ago, figured I could put up my brushes(like I was too old to craft anymore) but I realized how much I was missing, from making something with my own hands! Sorry so lengthy. Just wanted to say thank you again, and Happy New Year 🎉!
I just found your videos this week and are really enjoying them ! I'm obsessed with dollar tree! You asked for requests and i would live to see more ideas for displaying photos!!
Katelyn, you can place a piece of cling wrap over the piece and smooth out any bubbles and wrinkles. This protects the piece and avoid getting your hands messy.
I just made my own windmill inspired by yours!! I used a bottle cap instead of a milk one and just glued the sticks to the back. I got mine to spin by using a small spool glued to the top of four dowels(to make it 3D) and a stick in the middle of the spool attached to the bottlecap/windmill part. I love it!!
Love these recap views. Reader’s Digest versions! Great reminders of projects & products to look for when I’m away because my tri state area gets so little!! Love the heart key 🔐 set!
I just found this out but if yu use the 50 cent paint from walmart it dries in q cupple of seconds and it gives a matt finisg as well as full coverage just like the waverly chalk paint
Your talent is awe inspiring! I love the attention to detail you give, and the depth you ad to your painted projects. You have amazing ideas. Thank you for your video!
Oh, my goodness! You are blessed with amazing creativity. I've just found your channel and I'm truly impressed with your projects. Looking forward to seeing what you share in 2020.

Hey Katelyn, Love these too!! Question on the last one with the photo of you and daughter, was that a real photograph or did you print it to copy paper? And I did see you Modpodge the photo too? TFS your favs of 2019! Are you ready for the 20s?
Thank you!! Yes, for my craft projects it's convenient for me to print it off my computer. I applied mod podge on photo because the frame had no glass. I'm all about convenience!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love the together puzzle piece sign, the key and lock are amazing (didn’t realize the were handmade until I watched the video. I love all the projects but the first 2 are my favorite. Please make more similar to those first 2.
Oh I remember quite a few of those DIY's and I loved them! 2020 is going to be so fun, I just hope I can keep up with all the cute projects! ** Happy New Year **
Happy new year! Love this video! I made your hearts w the keys but like u said I made them a different color. There are a few more I want to make too! 🙂
I made this for my bedroom. It hangs over my hubby and I's bed. Mine says "Love you to pieces". I wanted a cute little phrase that complimented both features on the sign...hearts and puzzle.
Katelyn!!! You are truly my FAVORITE crafter!! If you can save time w editing and filming nonsense, I’d LOVE to see more of your work!!! Even short tutorials on your painting methods! And I have to tell you, I know you can’t be older then 30....but you have a BEAUTIFUL old soul!!!! God bless you and your family in 2020!!
OMGOSH!!! How you hand crafted that key & lock set is mind blowing!!!! So genius!! My 1st thought was where did she get that adorable lock & key??!! And then watched you make them out of 2 hearts, a dowel & a letter just blew my mind!! Can you get any better than the next projects... Of course you can!!! You are KATELYN!!! LOL!!!!

Honestly, I couldn't pick a favorite... I loved them all!... And you make it look so easy with the painting! lol... But I am going to have to give them a try... (I can hear my husband now lol)... I live in a 3rd-floor apartment, the stairs are squared, instead of circular, with several landings... I can decorate all those walls, from the 2nd floor up!... Sooooo, OH Hubby! Guess what? lol... The first one I'm going to try is the window!... Thank you for sharing... Happy New Year!

Katelyn, I absolutely LOVED this video you put together for all of us. You are so beyond talented & just adorable!!! & you are a doll, I've watched you grow your channel & gain confidence & you should be so proud of yourself & 100% fully confident!!👍😊 I love love what you create, my 2 favs in this video are the windmill and the grey board w/ the hearts where you used puzzle pieces! Adorbs❤ Also I love when I click on any of your videos- I can hear a soft calming voice, fantastic lighting & I can actually see what your doing in each craft!!! It's hard to chose because they were all creatively beautiful. #1 puzzle heart #2 mason jar w/metal flowers #3 lock & key hearts Looking forward to spending 2020 with you on RUclips. 💕
I didn't subscribe soon enough to see all these as u made 'em...but SO* glad you revisit ea one!! Love any of the projects w touch of metal . From a thin ripple strip to florals to a heart. All great & I loved the window frame!! Last love lil things was great finish! 2020 suggestiond: what can you do w DT mirror? I like mirrors bc of how they reflect light. Also one reason I liked that window frame is bc of it's size! Many craft ideas are small but I have some bigger wall space (over sofa or on wall vaulted ceiling...) Lil craft get lost there. Can you create something for over a sofa? PS live to see you do other thrift store craft makeovers. I have old metal flowering tree branch wall art from 60-70s. I know lots can be revamped. So can you pick a weird cheap thing from thrift and redo for us?
You are beyond talented. I am speechless. You inspire me so much but I don't think I can even come close to my finished protect looking like yours. Thank you so much for sharing with us. xoxo
Love!!! I really like your craft ideas. There are so many craft-tubers that do What has already been done. I like how you think outside the box and make beautiful items that haven’t been copied over and over. Your projects don’t look like “DT” crafts either. Great job!!! ❤️
Of all the channels I watch, I have probably made more of your projects than anyone elses. I like that you give clear, easy to understand directions & I've always gotten a good result--so, thank you for a great 2019 & I look forward to 2020. Thank you for all the hard work & inspiration. Peg
Hi Katelyn! I just wanted to reach out and tell you how much I adore you and your channel. You have definitely been blessed with some amazing gifts. I made your home sweet home sign and it is still my favorite in the house. I’m going to make your project with the stretched canvas frames, except my husband bought me framed chicken wire from Amazon for Christmas. I think that will just elevate the project a little bit more for me, as I’m crazy for chicken wire! 😀 I paint it with antique wax to make it look distressed. Thank you so much for always inspiring me, and keep up the good work! Blessings to you and your family!
I've been looking for some way to make/find/steal some skeleton keys!! Thank you so much for figuring out a way to do it. Saving this baby!! PS I like the look of your DYIs. Not too fussy or wanna be looking. Not sure if that will sound like a compliment, but I REALLY mean it as one.
OMG, Katelyn. Everything is simply beautiful. I couldn’t choose one over the other. We’re starting off 2020 with a bang of great ideas and projects. This is going to be a fun year and I certainly can’t wait to enjoy. Have a great new year and a wonderful day.
I always enjoy your craft videos. Didn't think it was possible but the key and lock video was one that I had not seen prior. Funny because I am also an old fashioned key lover! Happy 2020, Katelyn! Looking forward to more videos from you.
Katelyn your Puzzle Pieces Love Sign was one of the first videos I've watched related to Dollar Tree DIYs. I was mesmerized by how beautiful everything came out. You made it look so easy. After that video I've watched tons of DIYs videos but always recall yours and though I'm yet to make anything especially now that there are so many ideas in my head and I didn't really know if I should change my decor. Well yesterday I went out and bought a bunch of Dollar Tree stuff and bought paint and glue at Walmart. I want to try the Farmhouse Look and I wanted to make your Love Sign to use all year round. Lo and behold I came upon this video yesterday while searching for the original one, and I am so happy to see all your crafts together. You are so inspiring. I'm not very crafty but you made me excited about trying it out. Keep sharing with us. You are very gifted. Love, love everything you've shared thus far. I have to make the Windmill. I've been looking for the wind chime with no luck so I'm excited to see your idea to make it. I think I'm going to use one of the aluminum trays for the blades, I'll layer them to make them sturdy, see there it goes, ideas are flowing already. Thank you so much. Blessings!!!
Thank you for taking the time to create this video to share with all of us! I absolutely adore you and I have to say you've become my top favorite RUclipsr! Your crafting is so inspiring and creative and I've recreated many things which I tagged you in on my Instagram! I also like your calming voice after a long busy day. Watching your videos always puts me at ease! Cant wait for 2020s videos! Your confidence shows❤❤❤
Just doing some catching up on your videos and enjoying it so much. Don't think I could pic a favorite, I love them all!!!! You are so creative!!!! Just wanted to let you know that I too put my outer coating of mod podge on right away. Tip from another diy'r.....to dry quickly, set it in the oven at the lowest temp setting on an old cookie sheet for about 10-15 minutes!!!!
love your videos - you always make it look so easy! I liked the "Thankful to be Together", The Windmill and the metal flowers with the Mason jar - Home Sweet Home!!!!
Since all of us are stuck at home,. I loved watching your you tube videos. My favorite is the last one with the picture frame of mother and child. Keep crafting with your videos, it helps take the boredom. Thanks so much for sharing with us.🐰🐣🐾✝️
I love you videos! So much so that I have decided to redecorate my home in a farmhouse/50's vintage style (I already bought everything for my kitchen, so the commitment has already began lol). I am having to literally redo all my decor bc I'm going from "modern-glam" to farmhouse (the 2 couldn't be any more opposite haha). I'm hoping some of your diys will help me with decor pieces in a more cost efficient way.
You're a creative genius that shares ideas so generously through your crafting. It's too hard to choose a favorite here. I'm glad I found your channel recently. I will continue watching your easy-to-follow tutorials in 2020. TFS.

Omg! Wouldn’t have thought to use chalk when working on dark surfaces instead of the usual graphite method!! 💜💜💜
You're a creative genius that shares ideas so generously through your crafting. It's too hard to choose a favorite here. I'm glad I found your channel recently. I will continue watching your easy-to-follow tutorials in 2020. TFS.
