      I'm just concerned that when we vote them out, they pull a 180 and go full-on dictator mode because it'll be they only way they can still stay in power. That would be a very bleak future.

      No. ANC is just the front you see publicly. The very resources and infrastructure of South Africa is captured by various criminal and foreign organizations. When the ANC goes, you will still need to wrestle the infrastructure and resources back from those organizations, who want to maintain the status quo with getting funding from South African taxes, and/or pushing political business scheme agendas in the form of moving to "green energy", "going green", etc.

      @@davidryke113 I really hope this isn't correct, but I fear you are right. The question is, what can the average citizen do to avoid this outcome? Things cannot go on the way they are. We, as a nation, are dying because of insane, delusional and absurd policies, BEE notwithstanding. We cannot go on living like this. As it is, I'm struggling just to feed my little girl and prices just keep going up, because everything is going up. What can we do about this?

    • @davidryke113
      @davidryke113 Год назад +1

      @@funnyanimalvideos4923 My honest opinion is that it would take a real miracle for this to be fixed, without the average citizen having to pick up arms and burn the whole system to the ground, so that it can be built from scratch again. And it will be the average citizen that suffers the most because with this solution it will have to get a LOT worse before it gets better.

    In 1992, a colleauge from Sasol, attended a conference in London. On returning to his hotel one evening using the subway, he noticed that someone had painted the following "warning/threat" to the then SA government in large letters on the wall: "South Africa, the ANC will break you!". In less than 30 years, that is exactly what the ANC has done. That threat, turned out to be prophetic! 😮

    I can imagine almost the exact same modus operandi was probably done in all of our parastatals which is why they are in the state that they're in. And if this is where the bread is buttered for governing party officials, they're not going to accept a loss in the 2024 general election. They can't afford to.

    16K GW unplanned maintenance is huge. So the sabotage is continuing unabated, and together with it I would assume the uncontrolled pilfering of Eskom funds by the Mafia/gangster groups.

    It is not due to bad design. It's due to the quality of the coal they use on the newly designed power plants. All our best coal are exported and the pants cannot operate on bad grade coal. Then another thing is lack of experience, people operating the plant does not have the knowlage and expertese. Also the main culprate is of corse corrution in Eskom

    Its truely a tragedy that we find ourselves in a postion where you have the right policeman and the other knowing they all take the same oath to protect and serve the public.
    The selfishness those behind that which seems to be organized destruction of something as big as eskom that will affect so many when the lights don't come back on in the near future it appears to be inevitable at this point
