Scipio is generally used in many occasions of the British Army Not just the slow march of the Grenadier Guards It would be played in general salute, present arms and colour trooping as well
they are taken from animals that are already dead and not many are needed as they last for over 100 years, but they are planning on using synthetic ones soon I believe!
In Canada, there is an annual government-mandated cull of black bears to help regulate their population. The bears would be culled regardless of the Guards regiments need for bearskins hats. I would rather see the bearskins on the heads of Guardsmen than as rugs on someone's floor.
Damn I don't know what is more impressive, the Coldsteam Guards or the beautiful green grass they have over there.
3:19 Lt. General James Bucknall, Colonel of the Coldstream Guards

New colours to 1st battalion and 7th company 💂🇬🇧
Why are they playing Scipio at the end. Thats the slow march of the Grenadiers?
