What is it like paddling on the flats ? You mentionned you would take it on a trip without a second though. Would you say it would be as much fun in flat portions as in rapids? I doubt a 9 footer would be very fun though.

It is terrible and horrible in flat sections between rapids. But in rapids it is really fun.
