Thank you for giving this little lens some love! I own this lens, and it is perfect for street and travel photography. I don't shoot video, so AF noise is not an issue for me. Listening to all of the internet criticism made me wonder if I made a mistake. This lens also has a handy, compact lens hood.
I finally had a chance to shoot with this lens over the weekend and absolutely loved it! Spot on review ZWADE!!! Agree that color saturation is truly amazing.
It is interesting to see Nikon make a 26 and a 28, but they both have their place in the line up. Good job Nikon for making so many options!! I would like to see more small lenses, but at better price points. The Z50 with a 14mm would be awesome!
Thank u I do have this lenes it is really good lenes so sharp and nice design I wish all nikon lenes like this one. And it is better than new Canon rf 28mm I bought it 2 weeks ago very good but the Nikon 26mm a bit better and my z7 look fantastic with it Thank u good video I like it
Wow! Totally surprised by this. I was convinced it was going to be some adapted exotic. Nikon Z is certainly pushing the envelope. I would have considered this if I did not get a hand-me-down 50 1.8Z for $220 from a bud who was going to trade it in. Either the 50 or 35 1.8 Z’s are always on my walkaround Z5. Also your channel helped me rediscover the 50mm focal length and the 1.2Z lives on my Z9, always finding new ways to look at things with the nifty fifty. Keep up the great work!
I've heard many praise this lens but I haven't seen many photo examples. Do you have a link to some of your work that you've shot with it? Or that others have shot that you enjoyed?

Great review... exciting way to look at the lens for what it is, compact and portable yet still performing. Yes it's pricey that is why it probably gets so much drawback.
Nice! I bought this on launch and it's replaced the lens cap on my Z fc ever since giving me a close focal length to the 40mm which is one of my favorites. It's funny you mentioned a couple of times like it's half the price of the 20mm F1.8, well, here it's literally 1/4 the price of that lens :D The 20mm F 1.8 here costs just $100 shy of the price of the 14-30mm F.4 Z zoom!

While not my carry lens, it is my part of my 3 lens package, 26 40 85 1.8 on my Z6 or 7 both mark 2.

It launched at a bad time too. The 85 1.2 had people screaming for release, then the 26 kinda was there too lol it’s excellent though 🤙
