reminds me of the fool who bought the first PSA 10 Van Gogh Pikachu on the market, it was like 1-2k I believe. These people will be watching that price fall soon enough
It's a crazy price, but the logic for why someone would still buy it holds water. I've spent about $400 on SF, and I have almost nothing to show for it except 5 ace spec cards.
Honestly i thought that this houndoom not being such a good playable card that it would drop like the battle styles houndoom very quickly. But its all the opposite. I guess i got lucky, just opened six packs and found it.
I didn’t realize the pull rates were that bad, I personally haven’t touched that set. But after hearing your take, I’d rather just buy the single at 40$ and have it for the binder. But it just doesn’t speak to me or my collection.
I've opened 44 packs total and scored 11 hits. 4 EX, 3 full art, 3 IR and 1 SIR. My best hits were the Houndoom and the Cassiopeia. Hit rates seem like a hit or miss with people.
@@keemeister larger pull rates have pointed towards it being rougher, smaller sample sizes have been all over the place. Glad you’ve done well though 👌🏼
Great video and great points 👍 when I first saw shrouded fable I thought this set has the best illustration rares so far. I didn’t look at price tags just the beautiful artwork- that’s what I go for in a card 👌
This space can be pretty exhausting sometimes hey.. these things don't necessarily hit me hard because I don't pay silly prices but it's pretty annoying to see stuff stonking all the time
I really hate the artificial market manipulation that has been rampaging through the card collecting market (very specifically in Pokémon) Ever since 2020. There are all of these groups that collude in buyouts and then artificial price hikes trying to get a quick buck. And as a collector of cards and a player of card games, it's so upsetting to me. Yeah some cards were always expensive or hard to get, but the prices that they've reached nowadays through online hype training just breaks my heart. This used to be hobby accessible to almost anyone, from young children, to teenagers, to full grown adults with a real adult paycheck. And now, I feel like the majority collector market has just kind of tarnished it in a way that it wasn't before
Pokemon card investors are just hiveminds man, like can i just enjoy the game and build the deck witout looking to find a card and then realize its now $300 for a single like its infuriating
@@captainslow5676 aside from the super niche batching incidents, hit rates have been really rough overall. Definitely be happy you ran into a good batch👌🏼

Are you new to eBay? You are able to see exactly what the “crossed out” listing sold for and buyers choose what is the minimum offer they will take and can choose to allow much less than 10%
The statement you make starting at 1:46 is not true. The seller can accept an offer of $1 if they want, on any set listing price. The automatic offer accept feature is something the seller sets, not ebay. The only way to know what the sold price was on a best offer is to check a site like 130point
@@Westernfish9001 Sure they can, just like anyone can sell any $100 card for $1. Thing is, nobody does it and data supports that. Most typically go off the base system in place with 10-20% lower from ask as the minimum offer. Also, this specific sale was ended at $390, so the statement made checks out.
@@DamaCollectsCardsI just mean that ebay itself doesn't force a rejected offer if it is greater than 10% off the listing price. The seller has total control either by setting automatic rejection of offers below a certain amount or just manually rejecting offers
@@Westernfish9001 no for sure, but in the case an individual makes an offer below the seller’s base accepted % under when listing, it will reject offers below that.
Bro funny thing is I pulled this on my 1st pack of S.f from the ninja box. I hate manipulation but if it stays I'll just sell it lol I could use the money
I traded one of these for a prize pack iron hands ex lol. It's not rare enough to be worth these prices even though shrouded fable has hard pull rates.
It’s seriously so frustrating. Quality control is terrible. Hard enough to get some of the hard pulls, and then incredibly disappointing when they’re super off center
