Hey guys! My Typhon is built like a tank now! I had her out yesterday doing 30ft high launches and all the upgrades held up and performed great! Vid to follow 👍😄 I did forget to mention I have Tekno Orange shock springs and an RPM Kraton bumper on her as well. Cheers and bash on guys! 🍺
Old thread, but curious what you are ruining with your center diff and pinion? Speed run gearing, or OEM bash gearing? Did you do any upgrades to the spur or pinion? I see that it says Dynamite on the plastic housing. is that a Dynamite spur? Thanks, if you can help me out. I'm currently running 43TS 30 T Pinion, still trying to make room for smaller Spur In running Armma Typhon 6s for speed runs. And advice, I surely appreciate it Semper Fi Alumnus Iran Contra Affair--circa 1986
Thanks Jacob 😀 I jumped the Typhon 30ft high yesterday and all the parts held up great. The Typhon flys the best in my opinion and will be just the right balance of stability and manuverability once I put the 2.8 Proline Trencher tires on. Thanks for watching.👊
Awesome video dude! I just received a load of upgrades for my kraton! I already have m2c chassis etc.. but i couldn't help myself and got alot more stuff haha, can't wait to go flying ;)
One thing I have to say that is very important is the rear shock tower brace from M2C racing. If you land on the back wheels or worse one back wheel hard the rear shock tower can flex and bend taking out the rear diff housing. The rear shock tower is only held on by 4 screws.
@@KaizerTest I used to have a HPI RS4 nitro belt driven car with a 3 horsepower engine and all aluminum chassis, titanium aluminum ball diffs, CVD's. We've all done it. Sometimes best just to leave the car like it is and replace the parts when they break. Don't forget to work on your punch settings if you haven't done that already and try a gyro stabilizer
Since you already have this buggy can you run it on only one lipo pack?? I seen it has a dual battery in series plug on the ESC I just bought mine and only got one 6S lipo pack for it
Yes you can run only 1 pack or two 3s in series to make 6s. I use single lipo 6s packs as I find it easier to charge 1 battery. I just took off one xt90 connector and soldered it up for only 1. The esc comes with two connectors to run 2 batteries and a jumper plug if you only want to run 1 pack. So you bought a Typhon 6s?
@@KaizerTest Yup sure did an hour ago.... Should shipout in the morning.... I am glad the ESC comes with a jumper plug if you only will be using a single lipo pack
@@angryyank Yessir! But the new ones come with IC5 connectors so make sure you have an adaptor if you need one or grab connectors to solder on(whichever you like to use). Or maybe your battery already has an IC5 connector..lol. The Typhon is my favourite 6s Arrma so far. Mild jumps are ok on grass(like 3 -5 feet high) Try to land flat if possible. Avoid landing on one rear tire if you can. It's pretty durable out of the box but the back shock tower is held on by old 4 screws. I highly recommend an M2C racing rear tower brace and chassis braces. This will give more forgiveness on rear end landings and allow higher jumps. I did jump this completely stock about 8 feet high about 20 times and she held together fine. But like I said the shock tower brace and aluminum chassis braces are fairly cheap insurance. Alternatively you can just rip it around doing wheelies on the grass or dirt and have fun without jumping as well and just do little launches off grass berms. Totally fun as well. My next video has the Typhon doing 25Ft high and 40 ft long jumps...lol. It held together nicely..👍😄 Either way you picked a perfect Arrma 6s if it's your first. Truggifying it later is easy as well to give it a wider stance but it's great as is.

The only thing I don’t like it the fact you had that stuff on your car
Lol. Yeah I hear ya. But this was my beater car I drove to my messy construction job so I wasn’t worried about the paint.
