I have an acquaintance who worked in a coffee place for a while. A customer who used British Sign Language came in. He knew a bit of BSL. He asked if she wanted milk in her coffee and she burst out laughing. When he checked afterwards, it turned out that he had used the sign for human breast milk instead of moo-moo milk.
So before I was at this coffee shop or something too and it also had food. I'm actually a vegetarian so I don't eat chicken. Anyway, when I was there the waitress was behind the bar and she was an old lady. I could tell. She asked me what I wanted, I said cheese and onion (pastry) please. She apparently misheard me, and gave me chicken bread roll. I didn't know, because she didn't tell me and I was so disgusted when I took a bite. I spat back into the bag on our way home and convinced my parents that I was not going to eat it and they should try it. Such chaos :-:
Haha! I saw this video awhile ago but for some reason, RUclips suggested it to me again. So I watched again. Except this time, I have a recent experience that is similar in the sense that a customer who wasn't right was going to try convincing me she was. So I work at Taco Bell. About 2 weeks ago or so, I greeted a customer in the drive thru. She ordered a number 4 (Mexican pizza, 2 taco supreme, large drink). She didn't want the drink. So far, simple enough. But I enjoy saving people money wherever I can. Some of our combos are cheaper if you want the food only, to ring in food only. Others are still cheaper to ring in the meal, even if they don't want the drink. So I already had the meal rung up. When she said no drink, I proceeded to ring in all the food and delete the meal to compare prices. This lady snapped on me, telling me that's not what she ordered. I explained to her that I was comparing prices to get her the best possible deal. She wasn't having it. In this case, it was cheaper to order the meal, and simply not give her a drink. There were many words exchanged between us while she was still at the ordering menu. I told her this is not a big deal, she said she knows, I told her to stop making it one... I was talked to by coworkers and my manager, but remained at the window. When the lady got to the window, I was still worked up. She was so snooty, like OMG!!!! Anyway, she said, "I'm the customer and the customer is always right'. I lost it! I yelled, as in raised my voice dramatically, and said to her, " bull****! They are not!" At this point, people had been telling me to step away but I refused, so after I said those words, my manager grabbed my arm and physically yanked me away from the window area. I was told to take a break and breathe. So I did. But I didn't get over that for many days. I'm over it now, but it's still aggravating. Some people belong anywhere except in public... So Eden, I feel ya sister! I truly do... Customers are simultaneously my most and least favorite part of my job... 🙂🙂🙂
My mum is a store manager and she is a total savage if people are rude to her. Here is a short story that I can remember off the top of my head: So, I’m pretty sure this shop is only in Australia so u might not know what it is, so my mum works at Officeworks which if u don’t know is a place that sells stationary, computers, laptops, phones and stuff like desks and office chairs. So this dude in his 20s calls out for someone to come help him get a chair down from a shelf. My mum walks over and this dude is actually taller than her and seemed pretty strong so he could have easily taken the chair down himself. After my mum takes the chair down for him, he says to her; “I was kinda hoping for someone younger and prettier to come help me.” So my mum just gives him a look then grabs the chair and puts it strait back on the shelf and walks off. Then she says into her headset; “No one is to help the bloke in isle 4” So yeah hope u enjoyed my story :)) 😂😂
