I suffer from cystic acne on my back and I took acutane in my late teens. Then in my mid 20s I started getting it on my face ,mostly on cheeks and jawline. I was not in a good place in my life then,and stopped taking care of my skin altogether. I've been watching UTube tutorials a lot lately and recently found your channel. I immediately subscribed and Have learned so much from you from acne to beauty to food. You are such a wonderful person and role model. So grateful I found your channel. Love from Ohio

I was going through the same thing. However I did an allergy test. Everyone isn’t the same but dairy products are Inflammatory and it ignores acne. I mean I switched to plant based everything and eliminate sugar. In order to get rid of dark spots I went to the dermatologist who prescribed spironolactone.
I work in the medical field and have seen this so much it’s so awesome! Spironolactone is actually for high blood pressure but it’s components help with acne. Glad you were able to find what works for you.
I was prescribed spironolatone for high testosterone levels. Now it makes sense when it comes to acne. I will get back on it on a regular basis.

I tried a lot of products too . African black soap is phenomenal and tea tree oil helps clear up too . I also been drinking detox tea. You are so beautiful and I’m so excited to learn about your makeup routine. You are a great teacher

i dont usually post comments, but i went thru the same thing with hormonal cystic acne. finally i stop using all products including soap, i ditched ALL MAKEUP, and i only used pure leaf aloe vera ONLY, rinsed with cool water, and in one week my skin began to heal. i also fasted a few days and the process began to repair my CELLS that ultimately helped my body repair itself. thanx for sharing your story.

Thank you for this. I picked up a few useful tips that I will be adding to my own routine. I suffered from cystic acne for years as an adult. I was just about to start Acutane. While waiting for my lab work (that is mandatory before starting this powerful med), I was told that I would need to wash my face with Dial soap while on it. I started using Dial before I started Acutane and it was EVERYTHING. In fact, when I went to see my dermatologist he asked how I got the Acutane without the lab work. I told him that I never had the labs done or the Acutane. My skin cleared by using the antimicrobial soap. I then alternated Dial with Proactiv. This really was a holygrail combo for me. Maybe you have used these products already but, if not, they are worth a try. If nothing else, try Dial (white or gold).

Beautiful! I'm 44 and struggled with acne all my life and what finally worked for me is ProActive! Omg! My skin is clear now I use the dark spot corrector now that my skin is healed and the post acne scar gel and ppl cant believe I had problem skin..the only thing with proactive..you have to keep using it..I stopped once when my face got clear and bam month later it was back with a vengeance lol..so now I just use it consistently..Hope that helps...love your routine came out GORGEOUS

Sweetie have you ever tried niacinamide??? Is amazing to rid acne and cystic acne. I have oily skin and as a younger person I dealt with acne. Im now 40 and I find less is more with skincare but niacinamide is a savior. Your voice is so soothing.
I had acne like that. Your gut flora is off. When I started taking probiotics and prebiotics, it cleared it up. I also did a lot of sweating which pushes out the bacteria from my pores. My face is starting to clear up. I hope this helps you on your journey.
I'm not sure if you tried pure African black soap and pure unrefined Shea Butter... these two items changed my life !! Cleared my skin up. I know everything doesn't work for everyone's skin,... My skin was horrible. Omabelle you are a brave beautiful woman & I love and enjoy all your videos!!!
Hi love. Always love your vids. I saw a major difference in my skin when I stopped eating beef. Once I gave up all meats and their hormones, my face cleared completely. You also might want to cut out sugar and bread..basically eat a plant based diet. All those meats have hormones that affect you adversely. Also, no dairy products.
After watching your video 8years ago, I feel in love more with myself cos I have battling with acne for almost 13 years. Your makeup is o flawless 😍

Do you drink a lot of milk or eat a lot of dairy products? For example yogurt, ice cream and so on? Do you eat a lot of chocolate or candies? If so, cut out the dairy products for one month. Then see how your skin reacts. Also, if you eat a lot of sweets cut back on that too. I know that benzoyl peroxide is a product that is use for acne prone skin but if you put to much of it on, it can make your skin worse. Try not using it (bp) for a month but if you do continue on using it, make sure you apply sunscreen to your face because Benzoyl peroxide can make you acne spots darker.

I am 43 years old. I considered Accutane twice in my life. I decided it was too risky. I have been able to keep my skin clear for the past 10 years by not eating the foods that break my skin out period. If cake breaks your skin out then stop eating cake and the ingredients that make up the cake. I did this with my whole diet and it made a complete difference in my life and I never have to wear makeup.
My doctor prescribed accutane for me. Please what are the risks

I went on orantane, the generic version of accutane. And it works.
I had to take spironolactone for my PCOS HORMONAL ACNE. 2years like yours.. Not accutane. Spironolactone worked miracles I thank GOD!! No dairy… I also use retina twice a week. My acne is GONE. Here and there when I eat bad I have a single breakout

Hello. I watch ur videos and enjoy the family. I too suffer from acne and hyperpigmentation for pretty much all my life. I refused to get on Accutane years ago because of the mental health side effects. It scared me away from trying it. I would suggest REALLY researching Accutane and the side effects very thoroughly before getting on that med. The suicidal ideation, hallucinations, and etc...APPROACH THAT COURSE OF TREATMENT WITH CAUTION!!!!!!

I understand struggle with acne .I was about to suggest acnetane to you .I am currently on acnetane and I am on week 2 and I see victory in the end.I do not regret the decision but be mentally prepared before starting it because the side effects can be something else .

I watched two tutorials so far, although I haven't tried the techniques or products as yet I believe the overall directions would be easy to follow. Because I'm 56 I would go a bit lighter on the application.
Have you ever tried Retina A and tetracycline for acne outbreak?
I inherited the same flaw from my father and suffered outbreaks into my 40's until the hormones started to decline. If you have never tried that combination perhaps you could discuss the treatment with your doctor who may consider the commencement of 0.5 Retina.

I have to admire u for doing this. I hate taking pictures. I can say thou that Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay does wonders for my skin. I'm just not consistent like i need to be, but I'm about to get back on a regular routine again because it really helps me. Maybe u can try it as a regular part of your routine and see if it's something of use for u. Take Care.....
I have skin just like yours...I'm just a shade or two darker. But I cannot make it look like you do...I have to keep practicing. My hyperpigmentation shows through my makeup, and also how do I use the "orange" corrected which I was told is a better choice for my darker complexion to help even out my skin. For large pores, use a dermaroller and followup with a collagen serum. Large pores are a result of trauma to the pores and the breakdown of collagen. This has made mine much smaller.
I just found Advanced Clinical Hyaluronic serum a few days ago , and it is closing my enlarged pores. I was amazed. It is Great stuff.
I'm 69 yrs. Young and I've tried a lot of products this is the only one that really worked and in a few days at that. I thought I would never find something that really worked but this really does.,❤️

Hi Omabell, a trick that may work for the acne, try and stop any food that has nutrients that mimic Estrogen e.g Cocoa, chocolates etc., also sugars its hard though :) I 'm loving your content

Fyi, that becca primer is great but it broke everyone i know who used it out. So try eliminating it out of your routine and see if that helps
Also try using an orange corrector .. LA girl HD concealer has a good one
I have recently started using Patchouli essential oil on my face and it kills bacteria in acne and has cleared my skin, and lightened scar pigmentation. It's natural and high in antioxidants and cell rejuvenating properties. It did dry my skin out in some areas after a few days, but then it peeled. My skin looks and feels much smoother and shrunk some of my pores. A week in and most acne has gone. Try it ladies. ❤

Mac paint pot is great to put on blemishes too like spackle. Let it dry and then put ur Foundation on over it.

I found that Accutane helped with my cystic acne but I had to stop using it within 3months as I ended up with severe IBS. Please research the side effects of Accutane before using it. What eventually helped me was visiting with a naturopath who recommended a green vegetable juice cleanse, elimination of sugars (including fruit) and raw food diet. In less than a month I had significant improvement and by 3 months no more cystic acne. That has been over 5 yrs now and my acne has not returnec.

Omabelle, I was struggling with the same acne until an old lady gave me this tip: buy Idole cream (white tub) put a very slight fingertip of Dermovate cream clobetasol 0.05 and a slight of Vitamine A&E. It saved my life 10 years ago... Hope it works for you.

You really should take accutane after you’re done with breastfeeding… it’s life changing… it only took 6months for me… my skin is clear from acne… even around that time of the month… now i just deal with scarring… and accutane also helped with fading the scars… but not entirely of course

Try water fasting and removing acidic foods. It’s causes acne and that is what help clear mine up.
