With regard to hyperglycaemia vs hypoglycaemia. With hypo the patient will be sweating, dizzy with a rapid pulse. With hyper, the skin will be dry with no sweating with considerable thirst. If there is a diabetic testing kit, then N test the sugar level but if there is not one, giving sugar to a hyper is only going to worsen the condition, so if patient can administer insulin, let him do so
