A few weeks ago I was a complete noob at pc fans so I've investigated a lot about this and this is by far the best explained one because it covers everything clearly with the information we realistically want. Thanks!! I'll be getting these very soon
Good job, very informative. A lot of people are going to be replacing there are case fans with the corsairs, comma so this is particularly helpful. Especially that you chose the CL fans Which are much better fans for only a slight price difference
Awesome tutorial! My first build I used montech z3 pro rgb fan. It's really nice... But I love be quiet! Big fan of their technology... it is little expensive. But so cool 👍
Great video. I just bought 10 of these fans and a commander pro. Also bought 4 200mm Thermaltake Riing 20 RGB for the front of the case and on top. So gotta install 2 different softwares for this build. Corsair doesn’t have the QL 200mm fans so had to go with Thermaltake for those big ones. Got the Z590 motherboard and also will be using RGB heat sinks for all three of the M.2 slots and of course RGB on the memory
Really nice and u can upgrade to more QL fans later but i think from the lighting perspectiv the bottom fan is turned and not turned in the software so it doesnt match
Thank you 🙏 Definitely can get some more in the future. We’ll see tho, I have some exciting stuff happening soon so I may need to go back to the bitspower. But yeah I forgot to turn that bottom one in the software and it wasn’t in sync. All fixed now tho. Thanks for watching 😊
Nice video! I have a question, if I want to control the speed as well, do I need an other commander? Or the node is doing it? (Sorry for my english, I’m french canadian)
So you can get the corsair commander pro and connect the fans to control speed through there or you can just plug them into your motherboard and control the speed through your motherboard bios.
@@BuildsWithV ok! Thank you, I will buy the commander pro to control all my 9 QL120 fans that I ordered today 😆 I really prefer doing all the setup with ICUE.

Hopefully you're still monitoring the comments on this I know it's a one year old video, but I'm looking at a Corsair 7000 d case which can use upwards of 12 fans. I'm assuming I would need at least two of these units for controls. If more was needed, is it possible to daisy chain these?
I would like to buy a ql120 single pack, and was wondering if it works in rgb, choosing colors, effects, and turning it off by the motherboard software, without the node core?

hi man i have the rgb hub and commander pro but when i go into the software the commander pro doesn’t come up i think i got the wrong version of the software any ideas?
Will there still be a way to connect everything if I have more than 6 fans, and if so, will i still get the ability to individually control every fan? ( I have 9 QL120's)
Have you noticed the ql fans struggling to push air thru the radiator? I’ve just installed them to my radiator and there seems to be a small gap and less airflow thrilling my rad
How do you control all 9 fans at once? When i set it up I can only control 6 then the other 3 seperately. and if it do it that way then the lights dont match up for some of the lighting cues
Is it possible to have these "synced / connected" effects for the fans in icue over two lighting node cores? So over a whole 10 fans? Right now I can only connect 6 together and 4 together, but split on 2 groups (lightning nodes) so to say. Is there a way to make it one group using both lighting node cores? I hope you get what I'm trying to say.
@@kenb.929 That's not how it works unfortunately. I have the 2 Lighting Nodes hooked up to the Commander Pro and it recognizes them only as 2 different Lighting Nodes, and not one big unit.

Will the fans still spin even if I dont install the pwm connector in? My motherboard doesn't have enough connectors for all fans and i don't really care to control the speed.

Hello, I have a 4-pin Pwm 1x5 fan multiplier (FANS), they are all four-pin, where can I connect it? To cpu_fan or sys_fan. How many FANS can I connect to these?
If you have a fan splitter you can connect up to 4 to one of the fan headers. You have to connect them to the sys_fan. If you have a fan hub like mine, you can connect more to one header because the power comes from sata
The fans are pretty good more higher end, the icue software is very good.I seen someone take the hub a connect a product from another brand and get it to work with there software.

My pc was built by a friend a 1.5yrs ago. I needed to change my fans.. So I'm watching this.. Wait.. How many in take fans do I need vs exhaust fans?? I installed mine how the friend installed the old ones but now I'm wondering if they did it wrong? And that's why 1 possibly 2 of my front fans started making a horrible noise no matter what I did to fix it.. I currently have them facing front so most of the air goes inside?? The back Og fan seems to blow air out.. I'm confused
So I bought these fans. I had to go and buy a fan hub because I got the ones that only come with the RGB fan hub. I have the HP OMEN OBELISK 875-0014 motherboard for my pc.
