- U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Monday vowed the U.S. would take "all necessary actions" to defend its troops after a deadly drone attack in Jordan by Iran-backed militants, even as President Joe Biden's administration stressed it was not seeking a war with Iran.
The attack on Sunday killed three U.S. soldiers and wounded more than 40 troops. It was the first deadly strike against U.S. troops since the Israel-Hamas war erupted in October and marks a major escalation in tensions that have engulfed the Middle East.

Any plane big enough to carry supplies is a big slow target that can be shot down by anti aircraft weapons.
Also you cant deliver supplies by airplanes if your runways get bombed.
@jakehildebrand1824 Well shooting down a civilian airplane is not an option you would technically want to do. Because otherwise, you would have to pay for the compensation. Plus who says the US doesn't want it to happen? I mean you ever thought all these things can't be prevented if wanted? It's all the show for the sheep my friend 🧡

To be honest I highly doubt a draft will come. I do t believe any of it and trust me nothing to worry about because this is all a part of the game to install fear into us. Again, a draft will not happen nor will it ever happen again and the US we don’t have a backbone to anything major this is all talk and people are worrying for no reason.

It doesn’t matter what faith you believe in, let us all pray for peace. No one wins in war. War is hell.
There is stronger deterrent to not hitting Iran that is undisclosed. The US believes there is strong possibility that Iran already possesses nuclear weapons hence its reluctance to strike Iran. A retaliatory strike on Iran could possibly lead to Iran using those nuclear weapons against its most hated enemy, Israel.
Which would probably result in Israel responding in kind with their own nukes, that they're basically all but confirmed to have.
A localized nuclear war in the middle east is definitely a real and scary possibility should Iran have nukes and choose to use them.
and that's our problem.... how? It's israels problem, not ours. Never was, never will be.
@@JANFU_Nova Few reasons it would be an issue for us:
1. Israel is right next to a major shipping corridor.
2. The fallout wouldn't just be localized to the region and would spread.
3. It would be a major humanitarian issue as unprecedented numbers of refugees flooded out of the middle east and into Europe, with a decent number of those probably finding their way to the US.
4. Would cause massive amounts of instability in the region with at least one nuclear power falling into anarchy, in the power vacuum it's possible for a couple nukes or other wmds to get lost and fall into the hands of terrorists.
5. Due to the proximity to a lot of oil producing nations, the price of oil globally would shoot up because of the instability and fallout.
I could keep going, but there are a lot of reasons why a localized nuclear war in the middle east would be bad for the US.

Often these same representatives then proceed to make many boneheaded decisions that “the people” don’t like. The list of examples is long, everything from open borders to vaccine mandates to many many spending decisions. Educated Americans understand full well the danger of appeasing an enemy. My sense is you are not American and probably support our enemies.

We definitely are not 'scared' we just dislike fighting modern wars and don't like terrorism on our country. And also its not easy to win a battle where an entire political entities would hide from us and use civilians to attack us, Because the people in our country are so nice they would rather take an L then kill of the entire civilian population of a country we would rather leave.
