Nascar really screwed up disrespecting Mark Martin by choosing to change rule's , call unnecessary cautions and bend the rules for Martin's competitors to keep the racing competitive , changing the sport entirely . True fans will never let you forget . It was called the race of champions for a reason . And their has never been a doubt about who that was in and threwout this series . Mark Martin

Mark Martin was to IROC what Richard Petty/Dale Earnhardt/Jimmie Johnson was to NASCAR for sure. I don't really agree with what you say about NASCAR disrespecting Mark with rules because Mark won a lot of races in NASCAR and ran close for championships often but maybe you can see something I don't. The one thing that did bother me was Mark was never able to win at Daytona in Cup. If NASCAR would've been consistent with theirs governing body he would've definitely won Daytona in the ARMY car against Harvick. That wreck was horrific and should've had the caution throw immediately making him a Daytona winner. Just my opinion though but what do you think?

@@SuzukiRacer055 agree. But being my favorite driver and Martin being a friend of my brother's , I payed close attention. And Martin always got screwed on most caution calls , deducted 25 points for a shock violation , when all the driver's said " we all dew it and they never took points away for it. Martin's earliest years he was the most vocal about bad caution calls and he often criticized bill France senior. When you're really good , your going to finish well no matter how much the odds are stacked against you.
