I got to meet her at my local convention last year and she signed my picture of Hange. Just listening to this alone makes me cry..... I sobbed crazily on her death scene, but she went out like a legend....she was ready to die protecting her comrades. In the last scene where her burning corpse was falling down from the sky..... It felt like she was a phoenix......
Hange’s death was bittersweet. For one thing, damn she died… But on the other hand it is confirmed that the afterlife in SNK is 100% worth it and that they really have a peaceful life after death.

Notice how despite Eldians dying, their branch represented in the tree do not disappear, also this connection is why memories transcend time and space. It may be that Eldians have an after life due to the mysterious powers Ymir acquired that connects all her descendants, while regular humans have the uncertainty we have in real life.

Tbh his death was pretty brutal and I dont just mean physically like at the very least he just wanted to see whats inside the basement and he couldn't even get that in ky eyes they did him extremely dirty but it was a necessary evil to be able to get thru that onslaught without everyone dying

Although I've read the manga ,but the anime nails it with this scene ,the music and the animation just NAILED it, IMO The soundtrack is the best part ,it arguably is on the top 10 if not top 5 best soundtracks in the series. IMO it was the best death scene in all of AOT(anime). Very well deserved for a fantastic end for our beloved character,and a huge thanks to everyone working on the anime. I'm really sad she's gone but I'm happy people care and she's being remembered.

One of the best pieces of fiction ever created. I was there when it first aired and nobody knew what the hell was going on. Waited years for seasons to come out...and it did not disappoint one little bit.
Actually I was really sad because of Hanji-san's death, but after that I realized that it a relief since Hanji-san can finally rest in peace after all her hard work.

@@Sinofaries I know…one of my instructors recommended it to me years ago. But never gave it a shot back then. I just have my moments where I binge anime and then won’t watch any TV for months unless it’s sports. This just happens to be one of them times I start an anime and stay hooked.
Only thing I wish they'd done with Hange's death was have it be at the end of the episode. That would have forever been more memorable. But, they had it be quickly overshadowed by the overly epic parajump against the beast titan. And I was hoping they'd say something like, "For Hange" when they jumped. But That's just be bickering.
