His passion moves me to do more in music. He is a fabulous person teacher and composer in this moment one of the major. Love his musical taste and texture. I would like to be his friend. God Bless.
This video inspired me so much... I’m in the current position where I long to be a Music Major/Educator, and I have very little/no knowledge of Music Theory, form, different instruments’ textures, nor can I read music. Yet here I am-I will strive and do whatever it takes to reach my end goal. I must say, I am a huge choir and classical music nerd, though, and I can learn piano/voice by ear... But I know for sure I am “late”. I’m just realizing this great passion within me at 22, but I will get there! ❤️ Thank you kindly, Eric Whitacre-you’re inspiring millions, including myself!
It is not too late to try going to music school. There are people who have done so at your same age or sometimes even later. If you already have a good ear, which it sounds as if you do, it shouldn't be too difficult to learn about theory and stuff if you're dedicated to it. Good luck!
@@Laz3rCat95 I am in music school!!! ☺️ I’m officially studying for my Music Education degree. Heading for my Masters. I absolutely love Music Theory, Music History, and Musicology. I love digging into a composer’s mind and seeing WHY they wrote what they did, how it came to fruition, how it was initially received at the premier, etc. I wouldn’t change my love for music for anything in the world, and now I get to share it with other people through means of teaching once I graduate. ❤️🎼
@@Hailey_Paige_1937 Glad to hear it has worked out for you! Sounds like you have come a long way since your initial comment from 2 years ago. Good luck with the rest of your degree and good luck with teaching!
How important are these humble teachers why don’t we value them more how lovely for this brilliant musician to acknowledge this.
We agree! Teachers are so important and we love that Eric acknowledges them.
His voice speaks music to me. His Conducting is purely amazing.

As I told my daughter, "There are literally hundreds of dollars to be made in music." Pursue it as a hobby.

Music is my Major now. Not just a “hobby.”

smoothest voice ever
Truer words were never spoken.
An inspiration! Thanks for sharing this
Did anyone else notice how flat Lux Nova got?
Yes, ominously such.
