the first american godzilla was in 1958, the last american godzilla (not including the one that just came out) was in 1998. i highly doubt they were talking about the 1958 one

You guys should do a Lets Play with 10 people,(Geoff, Jack, Ryan, Michael, Ray, Gavin, Kerry, Lindsay, Caleb, and Kaden) like a old Call of Duty Retro Play or GTA 5.
It would be chaos, only the usual 6 were talking, and not even Ray or Ryan were really talking. Basically, 4 people were constantly chatting, add 6 more to that, you wouldn't be able to understand a thing.
I'm eighteen and I have watched a lot of the old godzilla's, it's so shitty that people my age have only seen the shit 98 version. I think that's why it didn't do to well, people expected godzilla to be there the whole time. But it was more like the original's in the 50's and 60's, which followed dumb human plots until the monsters showed up. So I liked it haha.
Oh FFS, criticize Godzilla for having plot holes.. & then say Pacific Rim was better? The entire premise of Pacific Rim was illogical! The biggest plot hole was the existence of giant mechs to fight somethings that mounted turrets would have worked on full stop!
Godzilla wasn't good. It was boring. Hardly any Godzilla in it. He didn't show for the first hour and half the time he was in he was swimming. It showed the other monsters a lot more. Every time you thought you might see Godzilla fight, the camera goes to the people. I had trouble staying awake.
I don't understand how people can say Pacific Rim was a great movie. It was enjoyable and mind-numbing, like any action movie, but there was nothing noteworthy about the plot or anything.

The center needs to be filled in because that's the Lets Play. They need to find the real gold and obsidian blocks in the giant woolen Tower of Pimps blocks. Plus, of course, if they did it on PC we wouldn't have entertaining long Lets Builds.
I'll be honest, the Godzilla movie felt *so* dragged out. It took so long to get started, and led up to about 15-20 minutes of fighting. Don't get me wrong, the fighting was worth it, but my god.

However, when the director of the new Godzilla movie was working with the story, he wanted to focus on the Humans more, which honestly makes little sense. You can't just keep the designs of a series, but change the way people think it functions. *that makes no sense.* You can make this kind of movie in the Godzilla series, but only after having several other movies that slowly changed the style from More Monster, less Human to More Human, less Monster. *rant over*
I think the reason it was done the way it was is so that this movie can serve as a jumping off point so that in the future they don't need all the human focus stuff. The way I see it is "Hey guys, we got all the boring parts out of the way in the first movie, so now the rest of them can focus entirely on *GIGANTIC KICKASS MONSTER FIGHTS!*"

A lot of people who complain about 2014 Godzilla don't realize the same exact thing happened in the original. Godzilla doesn't show up till about half way through the 1954 movie. Godzilla is what he is, and no amount of American film-goers complaints will change the 60 years of Godzilla history.
There is a Movie Reviewer doing a detailed review of it named Confused Matthew while somethings he likes or hates i disagree with at times. He does have many good points. He isn't done with his detailed review yet, but you might want to check it out.
MickeyMoMo Godzilla 2014 was a well-written, well-acted monster movie that took itself seriously enough to be plausible and engaging. I do not understand why Geoff couldn't enjoy it on its merits. That and he's apparently a Seth MacFarlane fan.
Halo4Lyf It was shitting because every time godzilla was about to fight it cut away or was just in the background there was a total of like 1-2 minutes of godzilla actually fighting. Plus all the plot holes geoff mentioned and many others. _____SPOILER ALERT BELOW____ But by far the worst part was godzilla just being beat on by the other monsters then he just one shot kills the one when it flys at him, then the other when he snuck up on it and snapped its neck. Godzilla didn't even need to wear them out by fighting them he just got lucky and was able to kill them with barely any effort.
The Muto was hunting down nuclear waste for two reasons; the main reason is that it had consumed all the nuclear waste where it was, and the second was because its mate needed more, plus what they needed for their children.
I think I have a great lets play idea. They could call it achievement city bomb squad. Basically TNT would be planted all over achievement city (not just down town but the hole world). The goal would be to collect as much of this TNT and bring it back in a set amount of time but. Each of the TNT would be armed in some way and every time one goes off the player that triggers it would get a part of the nega tower.

It kept to its original roots that the '98 movie destroyed, which really speaks to the director of this one, kudos to him being a true Gojira fan.

The original Godzilla movie all the way back in 1954 had very little actual footage of the mega-monster himself, and I have a feeling that's what the director was trying to get back to. There's just one issue, and that's the evolution of the Godzilla movies. Over time, the Godzilla movies developed a fashion of "Less focus on Human story, more on Monster Lore." However, when the director of the new Godzilla movie was working with the story, he wanted to focus on the Humans more, which honestly makes little sense. You can't just keep the designs of a series, but change the way people think it functions. *that makes no sense.* You can make this kind of movie in the Godzilla series, but only after having several other movies that slowly changed the style from More Monster, less Human to More Human, less Monster.

I think the reason it was done the way it was is so that this movie can serve as a jumping off point so that in the future they don't need all the human focus stuff.
The way I see it is "Hey guys, we got all the boring parts out of the way in the first movie, so now the rest of them can focus entirely on *GIGANTIC KICKASS MONSTER FIGHTS!*"

I was annoyed when I viewed Godzilla because when he used his atomic breath half the people in the cinema scoffed. Stupid 1999 piece of shit ruining people's impressions and expectations of Godzilla. >:(

A lot of people who complain about 2014 Godzilla don't realize the same exact thing happened in the original. Godzilla doesn't show up till about half way through the 1954 movie. Godzilla is what he is, and no amount of American film-goers complaints will change the 60 years of Godzilla history.

MickeyMoMo Godzilla 2014 was a well-written, well-acted monster movie that took itself seriously enough to be plausible and engaging. I do not understand why Geoff couldn't enjoy it on its merits.
That and he's apparently a Seth MacFarlane fan.

Halo4Lyf It was shitting because every time godzilla was about to fight it cut away or was just in the background there was a total of like 1-2 minutes of godzilla actually fighting. Plus all the plot holes geoff mentioned and many others.

But by far the worst part was godzilla just being beat on by the other monsters then he just one shot kills the one when it flys at him, then the other when he snuck up on it and snapped its neck. Godzilla didn't even need to wear them out by fighting them he just got lucky and was able to kill them with barely any effort.
IKR, Godzilla was so good it surpassed my expectations, even Toho likes it
Speaking of recent comedies, 22 Jump Street was absolutely hilarious, and it and 21 Jump Street I'd probably place in the top 10 comedy movies.

I think I have a great lets play idea. They could call it achievement city bomb squad. Basically TNT would be planted all over achievement city (not just down town but the hole world). The goal would be to collect as much of this TNT and bring it back in a set amount of time but. Each of the TNT would be armed in some way and every time one goes off the player that triggers it would get a part of the nega tower.
