    Nadal is playing with a lot of reserve right now, you can tell. He was better in Madrid than he was in Barcelona, and in Rome he will raise his level a bit more. At RG we'll see how good he can really be at this point in his career.

    I did not support Rafa for this whole carreer because I was a Federer fan but seeing Rafa leaving is one of the hardest thing to see in tennis. Life goes on 😢

      you are dead right, I was a Federer fan too, but Rafa's farewell to his people in Madrid, after the match, saddened me almost to tears. He is a great man of sport, one of the greatest tennis players, by far the best on clay and a wonderful soul.

      For me it was the other way around. Total supporter of Rafa but also great fan an admirer of Roger reason why I felt very sad chen he had yo day goodbye. Unforgetable memories of both rivals and great friends. Les son for sportsworld. Bravo!! Great job Jiri!!!

      I never liked Rafa either...but when uncle Toni left him, Rafa's true personality came through...he is actually a good guy.

    sad to see him leaving the sport..i was alaways a big fan of RF, so naturally Rafa was the enemy, but he has really grown on me like a fine wine...Rafa is unique

    I had no idea Lehecky was this good - in skills, athleticism, and character. Laser-focused as a competitor, and a gracious winner, not holding the crowd’s favoritism against anyone.

    What a night! I felt sorry for Jiri, he played Incredibly well and deserved applause so much more. Yes, and RAFA.. i don’t want to think of the time he will not play anymore❤️💔🎾🥲

    It looks like Lehecka has learned a thing or two from Novak about dealing with hostile crowds. Great match and I hope Nadal finds his rhythm soon, given the struggles he underwent

      Hostile crowds? Please, this is a sport which has fans just like any other sport. There is a reason why they call it "home court advantage" it includes having majority fan support. Every player/team in sport have to deal it with it.

    1:19 First 2 Rome Finals for Nadal were without exageration, 2 of the best matches of all time, at least on clay. Also his point against Stepanek in Rome 2005 is perhaps his greatest point of all time - and that is saying SOMETHING

    Jiri has the right mentality. He goes in mentally prepared with resoect for rafa but not comoirmising his self belief. He did bot take anything away from his victory as he chose to believe he played at a level that could hurt eveb the best. Hope he goes on winning.

    Jiri played so good... 1 service was amazing..230km/h. He was like Iván Drago. He Will be a great tenis player. Focused sportman, determination.

    It is really so tough to enjoy the game without him . His humiliation besides his game is just so admirable.
    Rafa n Federer friendship is a benchmark for the game n the world to see.
    Both will be missed so so dearly😌.

    I was a fan of Federer but changed to supporting Rafa after he lost to Roger in his first Wimbledon final. He is a true champion when he wins and when he loses.

    Cachin did not go into the match with the intention to collect a T-Shirt from Nadal. In fact, he played for the win but Nadal ended up winning. It was all momentarily for Cachin to ask He realised it was an opportunity and at a stadium like that. It was a grand one. What is the big deal? This Jiri guy should have passed on the question. Who is he to put another player down on their decision? Arrogance! Unless he is so inept at the way he communicates.
