Splatoon is and forever will be a special game to me. I just got into Splatoon in early 2019 after getting my Switch and SSBU in 2018. Over the past 3ish years, I've created a little world within Inkopolis and other memorable locations in the game. It's been my safe haven when I have to face the brutal reality of things. In the beginning, my world wasn't very developed, and... cringe seeing how I was still an edgy 8th grader at the time. I actually had a classmate who was with me in elementary and also played Splatoon 2 and we played every so often but fell out of touch when we entered high school. During this period, I was going through a really rough patch that made me miss the majority of my 7th-grade year and I wasn't any better in 8th tbh. But as I entered the 9th grade, I became less socially awkward and more open to people, even getting a boyfriend later on. I made friends discussing things like the new Smash characters and even met someone who was SUPER good at art and loved Sploon as well. I'm derailing a lot here, I wrote this whilst tired so forgive me. But over the years my world has become so much more to me that I feel like I almost live there. You see my avatar? That's my Splatsona Allegra. Originally she was nothing alike to me in real life until I decided to give her a makeover. The hat is for my love of Salmon Run, and oversized jackets are cool looking. She also has Octoling Boots which I would never wear, but it really defines Allegra here. I have characters participating in Salmon Run almost daily, people who study Deep Sea Metro from the inside, and even people who host tournaments with custom-made weapons. I love creating scenarios in my head and intense ink battles. I love creating new characters with.. unintentional similar personalities but I'm working on that. I just love my little Splatoon world. I can't keep being here forever though. As mentioned earlier in my comment, I got into Splatoon a few years ago and that was around the beginning of High School. Next year is my last. I'm scared. I'm really scared. I'm used to being inside my comfort zone inside my house. Inside my little world. These last couple of years I haven't even thought about what I want to do after school. I still have some time though and I'm trying to think about what to do this summer. But I'm going to do fine, I will be fine as long as I stay afloat. Indeed, my world can't be my center of attention all day every day, but I feel I'll still need it when I'm struggling again. So I'll need to stay on top of myself ensuring I don't waste my days away. Man, I never really got into splatoon. I got splatoon 2 a year or two ago for Christmas on the switch and played it a little here and there, but l never really got hyperfixated on it. So I gave it to my cousin Earlier this year I made a bunch of friends, and at least 2 or 3 of them play splatoon, and now I can't play with them bc I gave mine away. Like bruh
