Having attended the Open House for the Orem Utah Temple this past week, I can truly say that this is the most beautiful building I have ever personally visited. It took my breath away. It is truly an abode worthy of being called "The House of the Lord."
Elegant. Peaceful. Being in any LDS temple feels like a breath of fresh air, away from the cares of the world. There have been times when I have felt the Spirit SO strong upon entering the temple, or just being on the temple grounds. LDS temples truly are houses of the Lord.
I grew up in Orem, but no longer live in Utah. So I will not be able to attend the open house. Thanks for the virtual tour. I smiled when I saw the painting of Bridal Veil Falls. Brings back childhood memories. :-) I feel like I've been through the open house now. What a beautiful temple. Thank you.

As a native of Orem, I'm exceedingly excited for this open house. I visited the grounds this past weekend and the temple is beautiful! Can't wait to see inside.

The cherries and cherry blossoms is so appropriate. I miss the tranquility of the many orchards that were through out Orem during my childhood. I miss the small town Orem of my childhood.
The beautiful glass windows high above reminded my childhood days of climbing high to pick cherries for the church cannery. Reminding me of my teaching days at Cherry Hill Elementary School and Northridge Elementary School and the times I strolled that now sacred grounds. Those wonderful children of God I was privileged to teach in that great city of Orem, UTAH
Absolutely beautiful. It helped me feel peace watching this. The temple gives me so much strength because it brings me closer to Jesus and His marvelous and unmatched power. Through the ordinances of the temple I get to know Him better and feel Him in my life more.
I live 1600kms from the nearest temple. It warms my heart to be able to at least virtually visit and still feel the spirit of the esstential work that will performed in the coming weeks. I Love to See the Temple.❤❤
Yes, this new Orem temple is beautiful and the attention paid. The detail makes this house of the Lord perfect. More important is the work that will be done there.
My wife and I were sealed there a week ago. Simply an incredibly beautiful and spiritual place. Even more impressive were the people who worked with us, especially the sealer. They were so welcoming and flexible and did so much to make the event one of the best times of our lives.
The cherries as a decorative motif made me cry, and brought nostalgia of my grandmother. It brings back memories as a young child when this part of Orem was covered in cherry, pear, and apple orchards. For those of you who don't know, this particular hillside was known as Cherry Hill.
What a beautiful video of the Orem temple! Holiness to the Lord, the only place on this earth where I can feel closer to my Heavenly Father & His Son my beloved Savior Jesus Christ. I love them very much & I love going to the temple with my husband where we feel their Spirit 💕
I love the use of pink chairs in the sealing room, and the cherry blossom stained glass going all the way up to the top of the temple! I can’t wait to be a Temple worker in this temple next year!
This makes me even more excited for our new temple being built in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We were hoping for Pueblo but Springs is closer than Denver lol. Definitely look forward to being sealed to my family November 11th!
I love the picture of Jesus behind the recommend desk. It reminds me of a picture painted by Jack Edward Horman and Hung in the Winsor ward chapel Dec 1949. President Kimball (then an apostle) spoke of the beautiful painting at the rededication of the Winsor ward building.

Es una bendición contar con templos cada vez más cerca de nuestro hogar, felizmente, en Viña del Mar (Chile) en unos años más tendremos un templo pequeño más cerca.
Estoy de acuerdo, espero que eventualmente haya templos en toda la tierra. Siento que en este momento los lugares que tienen más templos (como Utah, donde vivo) están aumentando. No estoy diciendo que no se estén construyendo templos en otros lugares. Percibo que el Presidente Nelson quiere que todos vayamos a la Casa del Señor, especialmente los jóvenes. Soy obrero del templo en Utah. Vienen a hacer bautismos muchísimos jóvenes a diario, día y noche. El bautisterio siempre está lleno. Así que, conforme más jóvenes vayan al templo (y adultos) cuando puedan, vamos a ver más templos cerca de donde viven. Vemos el aumento de templos en África. La obra del Señor se está extendiendo por toda la tierra. Por eso, pienso que va a haber más templos en otros países dentro de poco. @@ani4301
As a Korean, I’ve always wanted to live in Orem for some reason. I’ve basically assumed that Orem had a temple there because it’s in one of those popular areas of Utah, but this video taught me it wasn’t there. Now, there is a clear reason why I should go there sometime in my life with my family to fulfill my dreams. I hope that the island that I live in would have a beautiful temple like this when the timing is right. I pray that those who struggle in life would turn their hearts onto Jesus Christ and his redemptive plan for each one of us! :) Good day.

I'm so excited! BTW, I've always wondered why our chapels have places for hymn books on the back of the pew in front of us, but the backs of the seats in the temples do not have a place to put anything we might have with us while being instructed. 🤷🏻♂
Please explain what additional items you might have with you that require something on the back of the seats. I have no idea what that would be and I’ve never felt the need to put “anything I might have“ while being instructed.
