Oh man! I almost blew coffee all over my screen when Taryl made the first Salt-N-Pepa reference w/sound effects...boop boop boop boop boop! F-ing hilarious! I wonder how many people got that reference right away or just thought he was being silly? Tractor's gonna look pretty sharp...looking forward to the unveiling.
I was absolutely floored that Taryl knew the song " Push It " and Salt N Pepa who had a huge hit with it 34 years ago. The man is full of surprises as well as talent.
I knew " Push It "by Salt N Pepa the minute he started the tune. Floor my ass that Taryl even knew the group much less the song which was a huge dance floor hit in clubs across America even up to the mid 1990's. They released the song in 1987, 34 years ago. Damn ! Time does fly.
Why not go out the left side of the tractor hood and up. That way you can still put the weighted rain cap on it. Use a tin shield anywhere you're worried about the paint. Leave a 1/2" between the sheild and the paint and a 1/4-1/2 between the pipe and the shield. It works. Just route it away from the carb and fuel lines to avoid vaperlock. You can also put a support bracket on the left side for support. This way you won't have exaust in your face all the time. BTW, Nice paint job.
Turn it 180 degrees from the exhaust port and cross the pipe in front of the engine? Sounds good either way and there's tons of universal heat shielding available or DIY with sheet metal and hose clamps. Out the front and through the grille looks janky, as they say.
I love powder coating stuff. Did the entire snow thrower on my tractor. Lasts a lot longer and holds up to the elements and chemicals too. I'm doing a similar mufkin mod to my son's go-kart engine. These youngsters will drive ya nuts with their projects sometimes, but you know you love it. Looking good!
Sacrilege! That bright shiny motor better not start smoking or I'll send hate mail to the shop or sumthin' Oh, and sorry all your motors are smokers...:)
What I think would look cool is make a sleeve that would go over the pipe, then drill circular holes around it to look like the shroud on an air cooled machine gun barrel. Yeah, that would be bad ass and functional.
Run with the cigar idea. That's exactly what I thought it looked like, even before you said it. It's always going to look like a cigar. If you try to make it look like something else, it will just look like a messed up cigar. The cigar idea is a good one. It looks like a cigar and it's going to smoke anyhow. If you could weld it a bit or cut off the threads on the end, to try to make it look even more like a cigar, it would be perfect. Slippers could chomp on a cigar while riding the mower. It would be a cool "theme" for shows and parades. An old man chomping on a cigar while his mower is too.
Great videos as usual. I wish you'd do a video specifically about welding. You do a lot of it but you don't recall seeing you explain how you do it, what equipment you use etc. Please consider. Thanks.
Can you show us how you converted the opposed twin virtual to horizontal and show us all the parts that you used I believe you have that motor on the chopper.
Thoughts on custom mufflers for B&S OHV Intek engines in the 15-20hp range? I've got a place I can buy then for ~$45, but I've got 3 tractors that I think need new mufflers, and the ones from that source seems a bit louder than I'd like.
How do you quiet it down? I stuffed some steel wool in - seemed to help - I know it could catch on fire but I have it around edges of pepper shaker on inside, not in center pipe
Love your channel, in search of a muffler for a FB460v on my 2001 exmark 36'" walk behind any ideas , mower is still fine but no one seems to be able to help with any ideas ??
I thought that idea was going to look like crap till you showed it. Someone mentioned to paint the tip red to look like a lit cigar. I like that. Paint the rest to look like the outside leaves of a cigar. Put some detail on it.
Hey Taryl, how about doing a propane conversion on a Suburu Robin generator with home made parts. We just got our lights back on after 4 days of no internet, and gasoline shortage. Plenty of propane but no gas.

The cigar idea is cool. Should paint the very end of the pipe red, so it looks like a lit cigar : )

@@wingatemose1182 The guy is a Riot
And one Hell of a small engine mechanic too. It's obvious he truly enjoys his job and life.
What a man what a mighty, mighty good man.
S&P song

Pepa always gave me a tingly feeling in my no-no touch place 😬
That rip it real good quote was off the charts Taryl!
Looks like an old man's face chomping on a cigar 😂😂😂 needed that laugh Taryl thanks ✌️ from Beautiful East Tennessee
You are the man. Hope someday to see a full length movie with all your characters and great actors. Pip pip cheerio my good man.

Slip dog is gonna be the envy of the neighborhood. Nice design on the muffkin !!!
Enjoy All Of Your Videos. Keep Them Coming
My old sears mower has the muffler exhaust pointing out the front of the mower. makes it quieter riding it around, too.

That’s awesome Taryl keep it up buddy
Salt and peppa in the house!!! Then you start making the sound of the music.. 🤣 you're so cool Taryl.. great job fabricating
Looks cool but won't it get hot under the hood right next to the carburetor causing fuel evaporation? Just curious
i was thinking it needs a heat sheild between the carb and muff ,but maybe not
Can't wait to see the finished buiif. Have a great weekend guys.
At 6:22 Looks like something you would see on the kids Movie Cars 🚜
Wow Taryl! I'm old enough to remember Salt N Pepa and that song! Informative and entertaining as always. 👍

I had that exact plow I bought years ago and adapted to a 125 cub cadet. Didn't have a tag on it so I never knew what make is was until now
Nice welding, Taryl!!
When Slip-Dogg starts that baby up and it is smoking, it will really look like Mr. Tractor is smoking a cigar.
Sacrilege! That bright shiny motor better not start smoking or I'll send hate mail to the shop or sumthin'

Yep definitely a good look for that mower.

taryl that tractor loos awsome its priceless
150K - congratulations - and great video as always
For sure paint teeth on the grill with the cigar clamped in would be awesome...maybe
It's coming out really sweet!

another good video looking forward for sunday night
Taryl always delivers. He's Whitty.
GREAT ENTERTAINMENT !
FUNNY DUDE
Always good to hear from Mr. Taryls common sense fixes!
Oh Taryl, you are the man!
Really striking while the Irons hot lately, video after video, great content. I like it. 👍
Looks awesome
Awesome Awesome can't wait to see the whole thing!!!!!
You can Mount that muffler on a drill and you could probably smooth out the weld so you wouldn't see it
I would put some heat shielding under the hood and around the exhaust system. That mufkin is going to get hot enclosed under the hood.
Maybe self sabotage?
revision 5: run straight pipe out the front--put muffler out side of front--no need to make muffler smaller
Curious to see how it will sound. Looks great so far!
WELD IT UP!

Cigar muffin muffler that does double duty as a spear in case of the zombie apocalypse . Beat idea I ever heard of.
Would love to see a short video on the Bolens Gt beauty sitting in the background ! Please!

Can't wait for the reveal.
Go to the plumbing store and get you a chrome 1 1/4" bathroom drain pipe. Cut the end at an angle, and cover the black pipe.
Lots of time fitting ,and modifying, thought i was the only one with that problem

Looks like something out of Mad Max.
Why don’t you use the titanium muffler wrap like the use on motorcycle exhaust?
kitchen stainless scuby be good in that muffkin taryl
Could wrap it in header wrap that might help with the heat
The Rustoleum High Heat primer and paint is an excellent product ....just follow the instructions
That pipe coming out the front will also help keep pivot points on the blade warm and not freeze up in wet snowy conditions
will be Epic Final Episode go and get crazy ....
You probably already tried, but was there any reason why you couldn't route the pipe down and exit under the tractor?
Can't wait to see it
Heat from the muffler will effect the carburetor causing a vapor lock . I'd pipe it out front and add muffler there.
"salt and peppa in the house" -.. lol.
I laughed a little too hard at that one.
No Dinner?? Oh yes, forgot it's just a snack. Thanks guys.
At the end Slippers says There's my supper lol
Can you do a video on how to look up Tecumseh parts (exclusively) online. Having a HELL of a time! :(
thats cool love the cigarette idea 😂
what about wrapping pipe?
I love the videos Terrel
That muffler being so close to the carb is gonna heat the carb up, I would run it out the side some way.
When the air can go straight through, doesn't that reduce the muffler's ability to deaden the sound?
Where do You get those invisible gloves?
I have a couple of those I'd like to get running someday
Good to see ye man 👍
What is name manufacturer of snow plow. I'm looking to purchase one.
I’d screw it up.I’d have to work it,it’s too nice to use .Good job looks great
Looks like Winston Churchill 😆 Good tho' 👍

Gonna be loud with that straight through mufkin on it.
I'm torn if I like it or not. I guess I'll have to see what it looks like once it's cut.
