How To Reset Your Casio Edifice Chronograph Seconds Hand

Is the seconds hand on your wristwatch not reset to the top 12-o'clock position? Don't worry. No need to go to the repair shop.
On most chronograph watches this is easily reset by pulling the crown and clicking on the top/bottom buttons.
In this example, I'm using a Casio Edifice wristwatch and all you need to do is pull the crown all the way, like if you're going to reset the time, and click on the top button - the one you use to start and stop the chronograph/stopwatch - until the large seconds hand is back to it's 12 o'clock position. That's all you need to calibrate the seconds hand.
BTW, if you click the bottom button you can set the small seconds hands used by the clock (remember, when the crown is all the way out it is in the time setting position).

I have a casio ediface with two small second dials. one dial is for one second, the other for 60 seconds. after replacing the battery they did not zero. the top push in button zeroed the 1 second hand, the bottom push in button zeroed the 60 second counter. Thank you for this video. I would have never guessed.

No, that's not possible. The hands either all move when the stopwatch works or they all stand still.
But why is your stopwatch always moving? You should stop it when not in use.

Hi Otis, instead of pressing the top button to reset the seconds hand, tap the lower button to move the minutes hand.

Hi Schewon, to set the date you pull the crown only half-way out and turn it.
Alternatively, you can always change the time by 24 hours increments to skip to the next day, but that's much more time consuming.

Sorry to hear. Did you try using different buttons and see what they do? Make sure you pull the crown only halfway.

@@SyncopaProductionsRS I used the app in the end to reset the hand. That was difficult as setting the hand to 12 in the app sent the second hand to 6. I had to set it to 6 in the app which correctly set the hand to 12. Weird!
