Great review Carl - after seeing your vid I went out and bought 2 of these. They are, by far, the best clip-on tuners of the half dozen brands or so that I've bought and used. Thanks for this in-depth and helpful review!
Hi Carl. That was a really good review of the Poly Tuner. In fact, I bought one on your recommendation. It's the best tuner I've ever tried but have a question. I'm trying to tune specific strings to certain notes. For example, tuning the low E to a c# is there a way to set the tuner to a C# and then tune that string to C#? I see that I can tune the low E to a C and then tune higher until there is a colored dot to the right of the C but you don't have the same center tuning marker. Any input you can provide is appreciated.
How the hell do you tune your instrument down a step or 2 or 3 semitones...Mine is broken or i don't know what I'm doing ...PLEASE help I'm freking out!!!
I have one and really like its speed. Expensive, but very usefull! The strobe-mode is more or less a gimmick - you don't need that accuracy with a guitar.
Tuning the 6 open strings does not mean that the note up the neck are in tune- many factors in play here. I'd really like to hear an advanced player talk about intonation throughout the neck. It's all about stealing from Peter to pay Paul.
its more about if you're on stage and in between songs you can do one strum and see what strings may be a little bit out etc and its a quicker way of doing it.
I bought the Polytune clip on tuner years ago. It's not worth it. A cheap Chinese tuner is just as good or even better. It is nothing but an ordinary RUclips hype that makes you want to spend a lot of money. Do your wallet a favor and buy the cheap one.
Thanks for this awesome demo/review, man :)

I've always loved TC Electronic equipment. They make some stellar products.
Great review Carl 👍
Great product, it will be on my Christmas wish list for sure!

Cool. I love the strobe. I remember using a Peterson (model 100) strobe tuner. It did take some "getting used to".
Hey Carl, What's that capo you used in the coldplay song on the 12th fret ? Must be a good one.
Loved the review. More gear reviews in the future?
+ironman333 Yes definitely!
This is the best clip on tuner on the market.

Cheers Carl now I know it's good , don't trust many other reviews
Gonna have to get myself one of these.
Could you please teach point it up by Larry Carlton? It's an immense piece of guitar playing.
What about doing Racer X Technical difficulties...Alos that tuner is awesome
can you change settings
Any chance you could teach Cherry Pie by Warrant?
Not sure it’s strobe mode is so accurate when it’s not a real strobe
how much, i want it. great review btw

+instrumentenfreak the strobe mode is actually pretty neat for setting up your instrument's intonation :) Happy to hear you like the tuner!
+TC Electronic
Thats a good idea, thanks :-)

Eats battery like crazy ? I have read a lot of bad reviews about this tuner!
I’ve used this tuner daily for years now. I typically change the battery once a year and that is all. 👍
nowadays sold out everywhere. Why?!?
Superduper expensive
Waters bad bad cheap one cost 3€
$50 is expensive?
@@stratman103 sure is
in live situation pretty cool piece of gear.
well...............
Why would I tune every string at once?
I don't have 6 thumbs and forefingers on my left hand.
+Slumber! I do
Mike Merifield Well I think it's not possible unless you are superman :D
Slumber!:D

The intonation needs setting before this gadget becomes useful.
really?
