Hey Agasha, thank you for raising the awareness of this problem on your channel. It's easy to minimize these pressure sores as "just a little sore" but they can be much more serious than that, potentially leading to sepsis as you point out. I'm very sorry you're having to deal with this and I hope yours heals quickly and completely, but many folks have found them very, very slow to heal, myself included. I wanted to write you right away to tell you about a little wound dressing that has worked for me. After weeks using other wound care products that had been prescribed by doctors without any sign of healing, I tried a product I found on Amazon that had many positive reviews. These rather expensive dressings came in more than one size but I bought the 2"x2" size and within 3-4 days I could see definite signs of healing. Now, I'm happy to say, all that remains is a little scar. After watching your video, I pulled up my list of Amazon orders and was dismayed to find that the product - at least this brand - is apparently no longer available there. I did find them on WalMart's web site and even though (thank heavens) I'm not currently dealing with a pressure sore, I think I may buy another box to have on hand. The product: Dynarex Dynaginate Ag Silver Calcium Alginate Dressing, 10 Count/2 x 2 Inch (I'm in no way affiliated with this company, and if there are other brands using the same ingredients, they may work as good or better for a lesser cost. :-) As you point out, prevention is the very best approach and specialty cushions like the Roho can be very effective especially with frequent "repositioning" as you point out in your video. I hope you're "all-better" soon - and thanks again for bringing this to your subscribers. 🧡
Don't be so worried if you got a pressure, sore as long as you have a wound care doctor & follow they direction & it's not your fault or what happened when we get put in a wheelchair that's basically how it works you can't get what you really need until something bad happens I started on that same damm piece of cushion too, they already know we can't fill everything so why put me on this cushion & yes stay off your BUTT to me seem active & it is hard telling your friends & family you can't go I currently have a wound vac on my butt(if this is too long I apologize) don't be hard on yourself atleast that's what my wound care doctor says(she told me regardless how much I worry about my body a pressure sore doesn't mean it's your fault) make sure your not on your sides to long either GREAT VIDEO BLESSINGS TO YOU 💯💯🤗
wait how do you loose a cushion??? its not like a quarter or loosing your keys???? im glad she gave you one because that is of the most importance to have the proper cushion for your bum...
@@agashasnm the cushion is 80% of prevention of pressure sores. The rest is you moving your butt around in your chair. Now that you have 1 that requires air, if you can't feel it check it weekly to make sure its good..
You are the true definition of a Mutesasira ! You are full of good energy, I pray that it clears soon.
Thank you so much!
