"Batu Bedil is located in Kampung Cinangga, Desa Bayah Timur. It’s only 12 kilometers from the Bayah terminal. The site features ancient monoliths, including one that resembles a gun barrel pointing south-hence the name ‘Batu Bedil,’ which means ‘Gun Stone.’ The area spans 500 square meters and is surrounded by lush greenery. The largest stone here stands at 2.5 meters tall with a diameter of 3 meters."
"According to local stories, Batu Bedil was a resting place for Raden Kiansantang, the son of Prabu Siliwangi, during his travels. Archaeologists believe the site dates back thousands of years, though its exact origins remain a mystery. The site was officially recognized as a cultural heritage site in 1992, but its historical significance has been known for much longer."
"The most striking feature of Batu Bedil is its tilted position on a hillside, resembling a gun barrel pointing south. It’s believed that natural events caused the stones, originally upright, to shift over time. The arrangement of the stones is fascinating, with some looking like parts of a gun, including a trigger.
