I just saw Phil about 6 feet in front of me screaming his ass off and he sounded amazing,singing his whole solo album. I also saw Pantera 6 times and he wasnt to far off from when i heard him then in most songs. You do have bad days if you push it to hard or strain your throat the night before. Phil is king Pantera=Best Metal Band EVER.

I totally agree with you!... Sadly to say, a great singer like Phil, obviously never had vocal coaches to help him with breathing techniques that protects the singing voice. He keeps that up, he won't have a voice.

Yeah great stuff friend i'm familiar with Metal Masters... I know Phil didn't lose it, His vocals are Got Damn legendary. It's Jus the live shows around this time that his voice was shot from touring and whatever else...Either way, Metal on Pal !!!

Here are their first pantera albums,b4 cowboys...Power Metal(1988) is THE album by these guys, one of the best metal albums of all time(The 1st with Phil). Metal Magic(1983) Sucks I.M.O.I Am The Night(1985) feature some nice thrashing. Projects In The Jungle(1984) is almost the same as I Am The Night but a lil better.Each album gets better with time

i love Phil Anselmo, but its obvious he cannot sing as he used to, and he had a very good voice!
I totally disagree with you. Do you know the difference between singing through you diaphragm rather than your throat (head singing)?.... Do you know which one kills your vocals permanently without proper vocal exercises?
@lsunationalchamps08 But do you think LSU will win the national championship this year? They're certainly in the driver seat. I'm born and raised in Louisiana too. As far as the song, not the best. I'm still a DOWN fan though. Stop by Les Bon Temps on Magazine one day and you may just come across some of the band.

I know,he needs to take some time off and do some vocal therapy,so he can hit those notes again,b4 he completely loses his voice...
Anselmo can barely make a sound (any sound) in this clip. He's got to do something about his voice/vocal cords and start exercising.

@lsunationalchamps08 I was on business in Tuscaloosa last week and everybody thought the Bama got screwed at the goal line with the interception and Bama should have won. I said, "I'll just have to take your word, Number 2." Remember when Peterson made the interception a couple of years ago and they said he was out of bounds? I think it was Peterson.
