How do you recommend getting started as a new producer? I'm in college right now for a computer engineering degree and I'm kind of realizing that I want to pursue music because I just love that so much more. I don't know what steps to take though 😅😅

Sounds like your a cool dude! I wish you the best of luck. Do what makes you happy!!! Maybe start by getting FL studio, and just messing around! I know there are a lot of online classes that you can take for this

The only way to learn something is to do it, doing courses can teach you something but i find learning is better and more engaging when you are making the discoveries yourself instead of going 1 by 1 through things like in a course or something. Ive been producing for almost 6/7 years now and ive never took any courses or went to school to learn about it. I just played around in my DAW constantly, always looking up how to do things on youtube (such a powerful tool for learning) and when i was still in school i would skip certain lessons and just sit in a computer room and read through my DAW manual and i literally learnt so many little workflow techniques through that aha
@@RayhemXD If you don't mind me asking, how did you get income while you were messing around with music? I was thinking about leaving college or switching majors to music production but practicing music takes a lot of time and idk how I'm going to put food on the table 😅
