I think the cost of an ethernet cable that long would be way more than the $150 odd dollars? One google later, Bunnings has 100m for $114... lololololol its a bit of work tho i guess.
Considering there's power there and it's on the same circuit - Why wouldn't you use a Powerline ethernet kit? You'll get much better speeds 500-1000mbps vs your 1-2mbps, cleaner infrastructure and less risk of the infrastructure going down due to interference or the elements. A much better solution for this use case in my opinion.

I dont see why not, as long as its on two large poles, the range is 3km apperntly
