Been a Fifa fan until a few months ago when I bought PES 2016, such a better game and now PES 17 is looking incredible with actually great goalkeepers, can't wait to play PES on launch for the first time ever lol.

You should watch FIFA 12 and compare it to FIFA 17, the animations haven't been upgraded the slighest. Now go compare PES 12 to PES 17. Jeez, even FIFA fans know that FIFA is just a shit game in general. They can't even get cloth physics right, they use a last gen technique where they put a png shader that gives the illusion that it's real time cloth physics, go see for yourself in instant replay boy.

TheWOlwon Respectfully disagree, I find it stale, repetitive and monotonous, I've been playing since Fifa 99, it's still pretty much the same game as it was four years ago. PES all the way.
TheWOlwon I can just see from looking at it, the faces are still cartoony and the gameplay still has the same, everyone dribbles like Messi, repetitiveness, same recycled commentary, odd perspective, everyone moves too fast and has no weight, ice skating etc etc. It has more fluid animations and I prefer the shooting but that's it, realism wise PES has it beat, and it's more fun. But hey that's just my opinion. :)

There were a lot of inconsistencies in FIFA 16, however when you compare both games, FIFA performs better in terms of smoothness in play, also the skill moves system is infinitely better than PES, opening up a whole new archetype in personal gameplay. Ultimate Team is the main difference-maker between the two games, PES's attempt at it was been, in one word, mediocre.
People want to play with their supported clubs, 19 licenses were in PES 2016, IIRC, as compared to the hundreds obtained by EA, including the Premier League. Graphics is a absolutely ridiculous way in deciding which game to buy, gameplay should be the foremost decider, and FIFA has just been better at it. There are more game modes, menu design is also superior. I will be buying both games, regardless.

What i love about PES, is that he's not all about PACE, PACE, PACE. You have to
earn goals, by create them. Not just pressing sprint when messi,

I disagree with that, I play PES since long time and ML is ridiculously hard now with the scripting, and defending is almost impossible.
Maybe it's because I play on PC tho, and they try to make the PC game as bad and hard as they can.
well according to Konami , the COM is becoming harder , the coach is better I hope.
ye the scripting defin itely makes it harder i felt like i had a hard time doing well on even Professional on PC version of PES 2016, its either because it never got entertaining enough to play but more likely its the bad scripting the game has compared to the classic versions of PES up to PES 6.
I'm really impressed with it. It looks nice and the mechanics look very steady.

The animations look like they blend together a lot better this year and goalkeepers (the biggest problem with PES 2015) look to have been fixed, although time will tell if they are also improved online . Plus that Barca goal (starts at 5.37) was beautiful. You never get a sense of team's identity in FIFA like you see in that goal. It will be interesting to see if that same sense of "controlling reality" is replicated across the other major teams in the game. Overall it looks like PES is going to have another solid year.
The gameplay here looks a lot better than the other videos here on youtube... Here it looks more smooth and animations more better, especially the game speed... But I just hope the animation/physics are something good as PEA 2014 or better...

Fifa has great presentation.
PES is authentic football.
PES always seems to look good when watching these gameplays but one of the problems is that it's like FIFA 14 where you can just run through there defenders and score every time, even on the hardest difficulty. The game looks good but doesn't play good.
Generally this looks amazing. I beleive the best part of this is the realism in the psychical challenges. We just need the players to be a little less coked up. I hope their sober by the official release.

+Master Yoda actually ive played FIFA since 1999 on the N64 and I switch last year to pes because its been the same since FIFA 2014. the game has been ruined by little boys who fantasies about FUT every night and they ruined the market of trading. Fut 10-12 was so fun less people buying packs and actually trading to have a good team. career mode not being changed, pro clubs not being change list goes on

To be honest and fair, by looking at this gameplay and many others on youtube, it seems PES have a solid football game this year. this is coming from a die hard PES/ Winning Eleven fan who was disappointed in many PES games through its evolution through the years (such as PES 2014).

They still can't nail the fluidity between player animations. I haven't played it obviously but looks Arcadey to me at times.

I've got data for you to check out. for the first time in 7 years pes has sold more copies of 2017 version than FIFA in ps3 platform in America. I'm not saying overall because... NO... but that one fact tells us something.

all the goals in pes look exactly the same.
I must say this looks quite promising. I really liked last years PES, but the Goalkeepers were a dissaster though, and the shots were a little too fast imo. Really like what they've done to the presentation as well. Only the national anthems are still super awkward
they were supposed improve the look of the grass pitch this year.... looks as bland as ever!!! and also the presentation was supposed be improved too... looks exactly the same except some small improvements in player likenesses
Plz stop this bs. The presentation clearly improved big time. Look at those replays and cutscenes. Also if you look at the grass up close you will see how good it is. This is just a video. It renders better during gameplay.

i think you should notice at the first when the ball was in the grass , I think the graphics is getting a lot better.
