When best friends and total opposites Debbie and Peter swap homes for a week, they get a peek into each other's lives that could open the door to love.
something about witnessing the actors you grow up watching grow up with you is so eandearing
Well having been a fan of Reese Witherspoon for decade, it's nice to see her in a romcom because she's definitely the perfect actress to do this type of movie
That’s how I feel about Sarah Gellar since the 90s and now she’s gonna be in a new Supernatural show
And strange. They are older than me but I remember the early 2000’s romcoms and I love them.
actully no. its just scary
100%!!
As a 90s kid, I feel so happy seeing these two on screen together.
OK but neither of them are likeable
@@thewinner7382 don’t argue but I wish Witherspoon did more dramatic film roles like Walk the Line and Mud and Wild because after winning her first Oscar she hasn’t been doing great films that showcase her acting. She just did comedy films and that kinda imo undermined her Oscar win. Her only good acting comes from her tv shows these days. Whereas Joaquin Phoenix who’s one of my favorite actors is on a new untouchable higher level that Witherspoon can never reach. He’s definitely the better actor because he never plays it safe and he disappears into his characters beautifully.
@Captain Arieful I couldn't agree more. I love Reese and I think she's capable of doing so much more. Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama were ok movies but I find them annoying. I heard she's doing another sequel to Legally Blonde. I won't be seeing it! We didn't need the first sequel. Loved her in Wild.
Yeah same, Reese was my fave back in the day.
@@kiranolan7104 the first Legally Blonde was awesome that’s true
I don't even care about plot - nostalgia and the feel good energy is enough for me to watch this lol
Could care less! I'm watching this asap!
SAME HERE!!!! 😂 They got us, right?!
yea pretty much. Think we all know who this movie was for. Honestly, these two are legends from a bygone era where even shit movies were good.
same lol
They’ve never done a film together have they? Unless you mean stars from the 00s nostalgia.
I echo the sentiment of all the people commenting here....the nostalgia, the comfort food, the 90s, the '00s....this is what we want in 2023...the big hug right here from childhood and teen years!!
Reese has been involved in some pretty heavy projects in terms of subject matter over the last few years. Nice to see her in something lighthearted again. Just demonstrates the incredible amount of talent she has. Been a fan since Cruel Intentions. Love her work!
Ashton has been involved in actual real life heavy projects over the last years. Might weigh more ;)
My goodness, you've taken me back to high school boarding where we watched cruel intentions and the movie was etched to my brain for years!😅🤣
Little Fires Everywhere was awesome.
She’s both a real sweetheart and a kickass actor, director and producer from all of her movies and projects including cruel intentions, sweet home Alabama and legally blonde to surface, little fires everywhere, the morning show (stellar performance there too and still waiting for season 3) and big, little lies ❤
@@YannickLBThere is no need to compare.
I'm so glad this type of movies with 2000s vibes are still being made! We grew up watching movies Reese and Ashton and now they are on the screen together!
They are my two favourite people 😍
@@palamol Are you blind?
Reese Witherspoon wasn’t in a bunch of trash films, was she?
Ashton Kutcher is so daddy!! 👏🏽
@@palamol what has beauty gotta do with acting? It's irrelevant.
A 2000s romatic comedy but in Netflix and 2023
Edit: 9K LIKES!!! WAO!!!
Yup
Yes, Netflix is where a movie like this will succeed. Romance comedy don't do well in theaters anymore unlike they have george clooney and julia roberts.
Well it is Netflix and it is 2023. Suck it up buttercup.

ugh I know this makes me officially old but THANK GOD they're bringing these movies back! love it
Watched this today and I gotta say the trailer is way better than the actual movie.
True
A dumb and silly comedy romance movie? Will make me cry? YES! And u know what? I love it! 🤣

I love these short-form, 2 minute movies that Netflix puts out. Saves us the trouble of sitting through the long-form, 90-120 minute version.
I'm pretty sure this is the only comment that's not an obvious plant, and thus it has 16 upvotes instead of 2k.
This is a comment on trailers showing everything nowadays so there is no need to watch the movie.
lol exactly. And I got bored and gave up on 1:38
I have the feeling I have already watched that RomCom somewhere sometime
Bruh, I definitely even know the movie's climactic scene will be them running to each other in an airport, if 2:23 means anything!
This is giving early 2000s rom-com vibes and I am HERE for it!!🥳🥳🥳
Same here 👍
tbh it's not really giving me that vibe, those early 2000s movies had a different magic with a great score, music, comedy and rewatchability factor, the characters had such soul, nowadays characters are so mediocre and bland.
Yeah the part where he literally sees the live video of another guy banging her, so romantic. And he'll still simp for her in the end.
Same here
@@westie6475 good point early rom coms were actually fun to watch
OMG I love Minka played by Zoe Chao. That kind of best girl friend we all girls need! No jealousy, no secretly hate but supporting one and another without expecting anything return. Also, every introvert needs an extrovert friend like Minka!! Good movie tho!
Netflix really bringing back the movie equivalent of comfort food, and I am so here for it! 😍
I can already tell how the movie's gonna end and I'm still gonna watch it
Edit: how tf does this comment have 1.4k likes in a day, what thehell
Thats because the movie has already been made thousands of times over.
To be fair, for the people who enjoy these kinds of movies, it's never been for the shock or surprise of unexpected twists and turns. Not the genre.
@@vindifference right lol we're fully aware of the tropes and even excited about them. the real difference is the execution, does it deliver as a full experience or not
deadass still watching it lol
Just for Reese Witherspoon alone, I am gonna watch it
It's nice to know that Romcoms still exist.
I love romcoms, superheroes and animation
Why?
They should never die.
They never stopped existing. Smh
Are you crazy? Romcom always exist, Netflix especially always produce filled with romcoms but in shape form of gen Z story and actors.
If he turns out to be the father of the kid and she never told him and then they fall in love. I will lose it and not in a good way
Sameee
Hardly when they had sex once, 20 years ago
I don’t think the kids 20
The kid would be 20 in that case. So don't lose it
@@majede-jc5gz true, the trailer shows that they hooked up when they first met 20 years ago. But it never says that was the only time they had sex. They could have hooked up again just before she moved across the county.
Reese is a legend. I'll never forget watching Cruel Intentions with my buds when we were 11 lol.
Me loving her since the first time watching her in the teen masterpiece "Election"
You watched Cruel intentions when u were 11? I was playing with transformers & GI Joes.
I been a fan since Just Like Heaven
Ahhh that's such an amazing movie. Aged so well, too.
@@bfettrules1239 don't worry, we watched Genocyber and Akira after Cruel Intentions.
Literally exactly what we needed for Valentine’s Day. Two good actors and a good rom com
The 2000s nostalgia vibe is strong on this one... love it!
It has that "cheesy" romantic comedy storyline to it because it's so predictable, but because they casted so incredibly well with these two it takes away the cheesiness. I'm definitely going to watch this.
I disagree. I felt like Ryan Reynolds would have done a better job playing the lead-man in this one. Ashton was Okay. Reese always does a great job, love her. What are your thoughts?
What is "casted"?
@@shougokawada8491cast
I hate those movies when someone understands he loves someone else only when he/she is not available anymore.... so you just remembered now you always loved her? Ok.
Movies, shoot I hate when it happens in real life 😳
i mean it happens irl lol
Exactly. What a sh*tty unrealistic message to send people about "love"
@@tonyabrookes9931 how’s that unrealistic.. that happens all the time
This one is more like He's always known but told himself it wasn't true because he was afraid it would hurt the friendship and she didn't realize it because he never showed her that side of himself to give her the chance to know how she might feel. They friend zoned each other to stay in each other's lives. Either that or it took them being friends all those years to realize they should be together
I live for movies like this and with my two favorites actors together? I mean, bring it!
Your favorite actor is Ashton Kutcher? 😂😂😂

Could you please recommend some more movies like these?
Totally.
Two of my all time favourites.
Yes to romantic comedies. More please! The world needs to find hope in love again. Enough of the toughness and self-centeredness that leaves us all broken on the inside and lonely.
Wow, I just watched the entire movie in 2:48 minutes
Please make more Rom Coms. They should never die. ❤
Yeah right!
Hallmark does 100,000 of these per year! How could they ever "die"? Lol
I just unsubscribed because this does not relate to me ☺️

Correction: more good romcoms. This one was a disaster.
It’s touching that two beautiful and rich people can somehow manage to find love

Ah, yes, the romantic difficulties of the beautiful and rich. I always hope it works out for them.
Omg 😭🤣
So touching. Rich white girl tries beautiful bbc but ultimately decides on super rich beautiful white man

Such a cute classic rom-com we have been missing this kind of wholesome rom-coms movie genres! It seem smooth... there’s no forced chemistry or trying to hard to hit all ages... it’s just simple and that’s why I’m so excited for this!
Y’all are embarrassing.
Reese hasn’t aged at all!!! Looks like such a cute movie 😍
Gosh! I don't remember the last time I saw Reese on screen! She still looks as amazing as she was when I last saw her! I'm so excited for this
I cannot wait for this!! I haven't seen a real romantic comedy come out in probably a decade or more now. There have been a few teens ones or weird ones, but nothing like the old-fashioned loveable ones from back the the day with fully grown adults. I hope these type of movies make a comeback.
set it up is such a good rom com!!
You should watch, "Marry Me" with J.Lo and Owen Wilson 😍🥰 it came out just last year!

Broken she tries to loosen up and He returns to his bad habits / dating lots of women being miserable trying to forget but has. constant reminders of their love and connection. - to finally realizing /finding out he was lied too and trying to get her back after destroying her. . The storyline of them finally coming back together . A new Debbie song is needed and Cars /Foreigner / Rod Stewart ( thinking a scene in a bar one night when Debbie loses it and is drinking and dancing to the songs from 1978/1979. - out with her friends / girlfriend from NY ) . Lots of opportunity for comedy to be woven in . a scene where the girls have an adult slumber party -drinks / dancing - trash talking boyfriends/ and the light bulb goes off for Debbie why Peter left . Plot lines are endless.
Who I'm kidding I so will watch this day one. Reese and Ashton is so comfy, like a old school romcom, I miss those.
