    Hey Chad you know you're a good human being and a generous teacher who teaches us music theory which takes a lot of money from some websites/classes while you teach us free, man that's great.

    I love the fact that you're doing a blues series because you've been the most comprehensive and structured teacher I've found online.
    Only, I'd love it more if you assumed we can play guitar but don't know what makes up the blues, rather than that we are complete beginners. That way we get to explore more theory and more playing techniques which is what the blues is about.
    But either way thank you so much for making this free !!

      I'm starting the series at a really basic level but it's going to get pretty advanced. That way any one can learn from it no matter what level they're starting from. Thanks for being part of the MFG community! -Chad

    I want to focus on blues but am still learning other styles too, fingerstyle and switching between electric and and acuostic so a bit all over the place. Finding this a good focused course. Thanks Chad

    Your channel is so underrated. You deserve far more subscription.
    I follow like 20 different channels related to guitar music theory, but your channel is by far the best. I say this because you have put videos in a series which covers basics to complex unlike other channels where the knowledge provided is same but without any order.
    Thank you. And my very best wishes. I shared the link with 4 other friends of mine.
    Love and respect from India.

    Thank you so much for this lesson and series. I want to concentrate on blues guitar. I've been stumbling through lessons on how to read notation and play yankee doodle songs. That's fine but time isn't on my side. I been at this for a year and haven't gotten far. I'm 65yrs old and time is my enemy.

    This is EXACTLY what I wanted! Thanks! I just recieved a notification about your latest Blues lesson on this series and I found this!
    I am also thinking of buying your Jazz Comping Mastery lessons. Have a couple of questions though, would really help if you answered this. I have an acoustic guitar, so does it make a difference? Are there chords which I need to play *really* up the fretboard? Also, will this course help me in composing my own music?

    • @Moveforwardguitar
      @Moveforwardguitar  5 лет назад

      Awesome! Really glad to hear this series is what you're looking for. As far as Jazz Comping Mastery goes, you can definitely take it with an acoustic guitar. You just won't be able to play the shapes as high up the fretboard. But you're shown how to play in multiple keys so if you can't play a specific shape in one key you'll be able to play it in a different key. Jazz Comping Mastery is also an amazing resource for helping in composing music. The content in it will open up tons of doors for that and it's a resource you'll be able to draw from for a lifetime. It is a more advanced course though so just be aware of that. We do have another course called "Seven Shapes Away: How To Play Any Jazz Tune Using Just 7 Easy Shapes" that will be released next month. If you don't feel ready to dive into "Jazz Comping Mastery", "Seven Shapes Away" will be a perfect starting point. Hope that helps. Thanks -Chad

      you are welcome and also I like to see chords in the screen by a side more than what you show us when you demonstrate because it is easier to understand those who can't speak and understand English language Fluently. .... ..thanks

    Hi love the blues and love you video. I am 60 and never played guitar. Am I too old to start? Do I have to start with "traditional music theory and playing" or can I jump straight to the blues?

    • @Moveforwardguitar
      @Moveforwardguitar  5 лет назад

      Never too old to start! Def don't have to start with traditional theory. Start with the Blues if that's what you love. Thanks! -Chad

    root- fifth- octave.. make a 5 chord 2 notes don't make a chord that an interval

    • @Moveforwardguitar
      @Moveforwardguitar  5 лет назад

      Power chords are only two notes, a root and a 5th. Even if you double up the root that's still only two notes. You're correct that technically a chord is 3 or more notes but root - 5th or root - 5th - octave are both called power chords. Thanks! -Chad
