VERY NICE‼️ 8 years ago, I inherited a 45 year old double-wide on a beautiful corner lot, just 1 block from the water. I basically did what you did for about $8K . . . Now, I'm selling the property for over $150K! Nothing I did to the mobile home increased the property value (because it's a mobile home on the Gulf Coast), $8K broke down over 8 years equates to "rent/mortgage" payments of less than $100/mo. In short, never let anybody talk shit about the cost and labor that you poured into your home! The money you spent may not have increased the value of the home; but if you break your costs down over the years you live there, you could have never lived anywhere that cheap. With the ridiculous amounts of money I have saved by not paying rent/mortgage payments for the past, I'm getting ready to build on 40 acres with ZERO DEBT. "Don't seek inspiration from others. Find your inspiration from within yourself." ~ ME - I said that, and I say it all the time. ❤
My brother in law and his roommate just had to move out of the house they been renting for the last 10 years because the landlord sold it and they estimated they paid $180k in RENT in the last 10 years! 😢😂

YESSSSS!!!!! I renovated an old mobile home after selling my very large home and so many friends could not comprehend "why" I did it. Saved me a LOT of $$. I loved when I lived in it - in fact I bought a larger one and did the same thing - overhaul renovation. Luckily I had a lot of help. So many people make negative comments about mobile/manufactured homes. A home is what you make it!
Mobile homes / house trailers do not have proper load bearing framework . One by twos for bracing in the roof less than quarter inch plywood sheeting . I've lived in one for a lot of years and remodeled and added on to one . In the end it's still a house trailer. Crap. Granted it's liveable, and u did a fabulous job. But it's still crap . Insurance and mortgage companies won't touch them. And if they do it's ridiculous. Just saying.
@@lisamedlin96I'm pretty sure that the real estate and insurance rackets aren't going to matter too much here, pretty soon. The Powers That Be own everything as it is... Sooner or later, THEY will take everybody's "property" and rent it back to us dimwits... Because we allow THEM to get away with that crap to begin with. I owned a beautiful but P.I.T.A. house , sold it and renovated a "crap" old mobile, then stupidly sold that and bought another junk sticks and bricks house. Should have stayed in the old mobile... If you're truly strapped for cash oftentimes there are still alternatives to purchasing brand new tools. Those including asking friends and neighbors, posting on Nextdoor Facebook or buy nothing,
There's something sooo satisfying about being able to fix/build things. I am so glad that as a kid, my dad taught me how to fix things and use power tools. As a homeowner it's saved me $$$$ plus the joy of independence!

My son and I share a one bedroom basement in the Toronto (Canada) area that I pay $1700/month for. We would move into that tomorrow and it would change our quality of life immensely. I wouldn’t need to access a food bank every month and scrimp and scrounge to keep groceries in the fridge. I could afford to drive my vehicle again and be able to do so much more. If I had an opportunity like this I’d take it in a heartbeat. Anyone hating on her is clearly extremely privileged and lack humility.

Gorgeous remodel, way to go!!!!!! As a Floridian by birth and at heart, now living in Arizona (one of the other insanely popular and now expensive place to live) I can’t love and support this enough! Some VERY successful people I know have lived in a mobile home at one point or another in their lives because saving money isn’t something that happens when you are house poor.
Well what people do not understand is that money makes money. When I turn 21 years old my grandfather gave all the grandchildren $20k. Well my brother and cousin spent it on trips and just stuff. None of them went to college but me either. Well I invested that money and over 40 year that money is worth 15 times more then when I got it and all I did was do some sound safe investing. People do not understand the more money you save the more money you can make doing nothing.
And alot of people would have thrown this away... We always bought what was broken and fixed it how we wanted growing up. My dad is a carpenter and electrician and jack of all trades, we always had what no one else wanted. But when it was done everyone wanted it! You done one hell of a job girl ❤ Wow! Thanks for all the likes!! 131 😁
most people are lazy and if it combined with stupid that's why most people live using credit cards and saving themselves for a sake to afford a home where they don't have a time to be because they need to have 2 jobs to pay it.
Life Tip: You can rent tools. I’m sure someone who’s undertaking a project like this has the justification to purchase the tools, but it’s a good option if you won’t need them long.
That’s nothing compared to what it would have cost to buy a new trailer or house. I think it looks fantastic and good for them to have the knowledge and skills to do all of that amazing and hard work. You go!
My only hate towards a trailer is that they are generally in a trailer park where you rent the land. Yea, you pay less than normal rent but you never own the land you are on.
I wonder when she did this. Right now with the price of everything I doubt anything would be that cheap right now but I could be wrong. That's awesome! Happy for her.
You did a great job. I did this to a broken down 1955 house in 2003 when I was 20 years younger...mine got on HGTV's "Before and After." You should be so proud of what you did! Enjoy your home!

Got me thinking way differently about my dream home! Trailers can be added on to just like houses can. But your own little piece of heaven and renovate a trailer. Mortgage free and not going into debt. I live in Texas and my rent is $1785 a month. You inspired me Ms. Lady! ❤
It's not about what you have, it's about what you can make with what you have. You made something great and now you get to live a good life in exchange for six months of hard work. Good for you! It really turned out beautiful
Excellent advice!
Love your thinking ❤
In this economy, it's what you can save. Plenty living in gorgeous homes worrying how to afford food and utilities.
The hard work it took to restore this home must make you feel so proud! Congratulations!
It's not where you live, it's HOW you live! Amazing job and I love you motivation and skills. Girls Rock!!
Gorgeous! Love how you breathed life into this home. You know what wld look terrific also? Adding on-the-ground waist-high planters in front, below the windows. What an outstanding job you’ve done. ❤🎉
You did a stunning job. And it's all your work, not only is it stunning you can look knowing you did it. Congratulations
Amazing
Awesome ❤ thanks and agree 💯
Would love to see before and after pics of the trailer and the house you build. Excited for you❤😊🎉
My brother in law and his roommate just had to move out of the house they been renting for the last 10 years because the landlord sold it and they estimated they paid $180k in RENT in the last 10 years! 😢😂
Wow !!! Looks Great!! AWESOME job!!!!
That’s the definition of increasing the value. You got it for free, invested in it and sold it at market value.
Wow! You go girl! Congratulations!
I grew up in one
My father built a house around it when it was paid for in 1981 and my mother quit her job to come home to be a housewife and keep me out of trouble (I was around people 10 years older than me all the time)
And and they are both still with me at 80 and 83
I’m a truly blessed man!!!!
One man's trash is another man's treasure. In this case a woman. What a fantastic job you did. Lady you got skills. Thank you so much for making and sharing this video. Much love peace and blessings to you. 💋❤️💐🙏✝️

Gr8 job!!! ❤ Looks beautiful 😍 You got a wonderful deal!! 🤑🥰

Finally a real person showing real work and not spending a fortune. I love it.
I fully agree 👍💯
Well it also helps if you can do the work yourself. Of course it costs less if you do it all yourself. But not everyone has the knowledge to do this so they have to hire people.

Damn, I'd say send this to HGTV and maybe you'll get your own show. Congratulations, it looks fantastic!
Not a bad idea
Agree I’ve got this as a dream to build my own cabin
The HGTV show "tiny homes" is almost entierly responsible for the absolute surge in tiny home prices, making them no longer affordable. Yall need to learn to keep things off the internet, and telling people things in real life. Companies are fucking vultures, and will see anyway to make a few bucks and fuck over anyone in their way.
If its something youd lile to do then dont let anythingbhold you back. I can see a show like that.
Absolutely! The transparency in cost, the skill and sweat equity, and she’s gorgeous to boot!❤🎉

@@shroomii3414 Pure human hard work and ingenuity baby!
@@shroomii3414
And that’s exactly what she said - “You did that!” And then out of kindness for a stranger she said, “May God grant you joy…”
She was just being nice to another human being and it’s SOO refreshing. We are far too hostile and rude to each other on SM. If we actually sought to do God’s will and not our own, or better yet, make our will God’s will, there would be an incredible transformation on this planet and peace and true joy would fill the voids in our hearts. We never regret being kind. Much💞
Worth every cent . That bathroom alone is unbelievable.. just beautiful 😍
Great job refurbishing your home. You show people that they can make things better when they put in the time and effort.
😂😂😂
Your 100% right!!
It's just a lot of cities, trailer parks are trashy
@@lisamedlin96I'm pretty sure that the real estate and insurance rackets aren't going to matter too much here, pretty soon.
The Powers That Be own everything as it is... Sooner or later, THEY will take everybody's "property" and rent it back to us dimwits...
Because we allow THEM to get away with that crap to begin with.
I owned a beautiful but P.I.T.A. house , sold it and renovated a "crap" old mobile, then stupidly sold that and bought another junk sticks and bricks house.
Should have stayed in the old mobile... Never was happier or less stressed.
To each their own, I guess.
Cheers

Got a small house cheap and in need of repair my sister is the handy woman and I'm learning it'll be great when we are done. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Thank you for also listing the price of tools. As a new home owner one doesn’t really have all the necessary tools to DIY and they ultimately do add up the cost of making your own repairs ❤
They do, but they keep the price of future repairs low if you already have a tool that will work for the job.
It's definitely worth investing in the tools
If you're truly strapped for cash oftentimes there are still alternatives to purchasing brand new tools. Those including asking friends and neighbors, posting on Nextdoor Facebook or buy nothing,
The good thing about tools. Us seniors r getting rid of them. Cheap or give away. Garage sales and estate sales. Old tools r made to last.

I'm currently in a similar process, I'm remodeling a 1955 mobile home that's had a house built over top of it. It was free and the 2.8 acres it sits on. It's went from a 2 bedroom/ 1 bath to a 4 bedroom/ 2 bath. My family member gave it to me for $1 dollar.
