Was consider doing this without a battery charger... Can you confirm if this is ok to do with just a cheapo trickle charger? I have no access to a battery charger. Thanks
Trickle charger won't stabilize the battery if it is under a lot of load during a long writing process (Fuel pump and rad fans running). In reality 95% of people are fine without a charger at all, but the risk is always there. A good charger for this process should run at least 10-30AMP's at 12 volts. A trickle charger is typically only 2-3amps
I’m struggling getting mine to connect to ECU. My genius computer client says it’s on revision 1.01.11. It won’t update even though it says update completed. Any ideas? Waiting on tech support and I can’t wait much longer
We can't legally give out tech support over RUclips, so unfortunately waiting for them to get back is the best bet, but please let us know what had to be done.
The stage 2 probably won't remove the check engine light. However, we do offer the race exhaust feature to the tune, that solves the issue of running a race exhaust without the lights coming on while you are at the track!
I tried doing this with my DIMSPORT. However, I don't have the PRT IDENTIFY option when I click on work. All that shows up is WRITING and TOOL and BACK. Also all the other 3 optoins wouldn't become active. Any tips on how to resolve this? Does your tune come with pops and crackle for the w205 C400

Question: My Mygfile.fpf is only 6.14kb but my new tune is 7.5mb Is this a problem?I'm I thought the file sizes needed to be the same in order to load the tune?

Hi... jst curious. If my ECU is stock, only have mods like header, cold air intake and a reduction pulley on my supercharger. Will this work or do I have to have it chipped 1st? Or unlocked? Hope I explained this properly. Thank you for ur time...

You need constant 12V.
For some reason when I click work on the my genius it goes to make and model than it goes to read the ecu is that supposed to happen?
I followed it step by step and updated both 3 times over

Just installed tune from you and its a bit nerve wracking with all the error messages that things cycling on and off as the tune updates.

You just flash the stock tune. Same procedure as flashing any other tune.

Just buying the device and downloading the software from your website is enough? No need to purchase additional software/protocols?
This is how the device works. You need to purchase one of our tunes to actually use it.

I didn’t see stock map. Where is the stock map ?
Once you write the tune file, when you connect the device again, you will see the option to flash the original.
So when the my-genius tool takes the ID, is the car effectively immobilized until the tune is sent back? Or can the car still be driven around?
