初見時は吹きながらプレイしちゃいました
元々、初代バイオ〜3までは
カメラ固定はもちろん、
ロード中の扉を開く演出など、
どこから敵がくるのか予測不能という
プレイヤーの恐怖感を煽る仕様で
ホラゲとして有名になった作品。
今のバイオは操作キャラクターの
背後からの視点に切り替わって、
固定カメラなどの間接的な恐怖を
与えていくよりも、
ドッキリ多めの直接的且つ
瞬間的な恐怖を与えていくスタイルに
変わってきている気がする。
2のリメイク版を途中まで見てきたけど、
例えるならアレはお化け屋敷。
とはいえ、
正直ホラゲは初見プレイヤーを
どれだけ怖がらせる事ができるかが
肝になってるだろうから、
1度クリアしてしまえば
あとはただの戦闘ゲームになったり、
鬼ごっこゲームになったりして
成り下がってしまうことがほとんど。
その点バイオは、別々のシナリオや
ルートがあったり、隠し要素があったり、
なかなか恐怖から解放させてもらえない
仕組みになってる。
それでも、
シリーズを通して耐性がついてしまえば
どこから何がくるのか予想できてしまうし、
ホラゲではなくなってくるんだけどね。
バイオファンの方々が
初代とか2の方が怖かったと
よく言っているのは多分そのせい。
話が脱線してしまいましたが、
何が言いたいかというと、
カメラ固定こそがバイオの原点。
FPSみたいな視点じゃないから見にくい
っていうのは発売当時が
1990年代だから後はお察し。
今の世代の人達が
このゲームを例えるとするなら
視点が変わらないフリーホラーゲーム
程度なのだろう。
