There is a small bit of Kat's story that echoes my own. She inspires my own recovery and return to sport and is my own greatest hope for victory at Kona. Go Kat go!

Always a joy to hear from Kat, and great to see Mark given credit as a major part in Team Matthews. Great interview from James. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. 👍

I have a great deal of respect for Kat, for her athleticism but equally for her choice of espresso machine.

Good Luck Kat. I like the catch up sessions you have with star athletes. I am just an old age grouper just doing triathlon for fun and physical fitness. To run with I guess you would say a hero would be spectacular. I would love to go to a training camp with Lionel Saunders, only I would have to ask for patience for him to slow down while I try and keep up. Good job James. Cheers

What light does she have on the bike wich flashes? I need to get those... i got hit by a car last week my bike broke and it is getting repaired now. It was broad day light and the car was at fault

Why do so many (especially in the media) describe being hit by a car as a Bike Crash? especially for Kat - She was minding her own business when a car turned in front of her path.
It actually happens to be a Classic scenario for both motorcycle riders & cyclists. Too many car driver's brains (bad drivers) are looking for the frontal area of another car or truck, they do not recognize smaller objects & definitely don't recognize the speed they are traveling.
She is lucky to be alive.

Weird that the interviewer regularly looks into the camera as though it were a person in the conversation haha

Kat and Mark Mathew’s would have to be the most pretentious people in triathlon.

Bit harsh. Didn’t strike me that way. Care to justify?
