That intro was insane. Great video. You drove really well mate. I'm glad the Pole guy got penalised in the first race, but it was of little consequence. The way the weight system works now is definitely less fair for heavyweight drivers. Nonetheless, great content as always. Look forward to racing you again soon.
@@preecelightnin5795 glad you liked the intro! :) sort of went with the karting training vid. Yeah the pole guy should have been given a harsher penalty but that’s how it goes sometimes. At least it made a fun and interesting video! The weight issue has definitely made heavyweight not a heavy category this year. Definitely need to have a karting session soon!
The penalised guy, Anthony, is one of our lads from Birmingham, along with Tim Avery and Paul Clegg. Anthony ran away in the local finals too, likely the bottom end of the heavyweights. My boy was in the junior regionals the day before and that was simply down to who got lucky on the kart selection. We landed 30, 41 & 43 which last night Tim told us were the 3 worst karts there all being complained about through your finals. So we finished P10 in the juniors, less than a years karting experience so was still a great result despite dire luck on the day. When Oscar had 2 decent karts he was making up positions and could have easily been challenging for the podium. You rode a solid race dude, well done despite not qualifying for the nationals. Keep up the good work on your channel.
@@Oscarmallettracing for the little karting experience you have. To make regionals is a very credible. They didn’t take the best or worst karts out during our heats which made it fun. Thank you for the feedback and there is plenty more to come! And for next year as well 👀
Hi mate shocking that us all notts lads in the same heats surely it should be 3 of each ish 🤷♂️top vlog enjoyed it really well done and funny liked that unfortunately on the day i was I’ll and pulled out not that it would have made any difference 🤣enjoyed it however 👍🏻the penalty should have been more severe imo also rules are rules you did great 👍🏻but this 85kg is a joke for heavyweights I was 98 kg on the day why change it from. 90kg 🤷♂️but top vlog hope to see you at notts soon I really need more karting 👍🏻👊🏻
They should have done but didn’t for some reason. Sorry to hear you fell ill during the event mate. Hopefully you’re alright now? For sure the penalty was a soft one. The weight change for this year is stupid, there was no clear reason to move it and not put in a super heavy for people around 100kg. We will be back at notts soon mate! Your speed is good mate, just need more members session to prefect your karting skill 👍🏻
@@AJRacing1 cheers mate see you soon 👍🏻I do a lot of out door racing on the srk championship organised by Sam slater kartng ledged it’s mint you should join its top mate 👍🏻
Completely agree with the weight sentiment at the end. Im not a small man, but I really enjoy the competition of racing. When they announced they were lowering the weight to 85kgs i decided i wasn't going to do it. More middleweights will add ballast. Seen it at Superchamps where 80kgs is the limit in N35s, and it seems the same at this level too
I don’t appreciate you having a right go at me throughout the whole video, from the start of the day all the way to the end I came in at 86kg which is within the regulations, if you think weaving at the start of the race is worth more than 2 points than ok 💀 also accusing of me of drinking water, you think I consumed 2kg of water after each race? Grow up.
So was the Antony guy wearing ballast? I don’t understand what is going on 😭🤣 I know there was a few at Notts regionals who were under 85 but would drink before races to put them over the limit. I weighed in around 92kg at regionals but luckily the weight difference didn’t really mean anything.
@@S55AUL not sure about the ballast as I can’t remember and not going to say if they have or not. But we did see him drinking water as we got out the karts before we got weighed. 🤷 Also what happed at your regional with drinking water isn’t right or fair. My point being that last year he would have been a middleweight. The changes to the rules this year, has hinder the slightly heavier drivers. I am coming in at 90kg with all my gear on and less than a tenth slower on equal karts. But his weight makes the difference in the key area on track.
@@AJRacing1 How have the marshals not seen that, that’s shocking. He’s 100% not getting away with that at nationals after how strict they were last year. And no, I agree that it’s made it unfair on the heavier drivers. They only did it to bump up the numbers in the weight class as it had basically no one last year compared to the other ones. Good performance at regionals though mate. 🙏🏼
At our regional we had to roll up the legs on our race suits, and unzip and lower the top half of our race suit to show we had no ballast. The lightweights have looked a little low on numbers this year….maybe they’ll move them back? Or go somewhere in the middle like 88kg
@@lateapex1126 they mention that in the briefing but never really enforced it. They should have stuck with last years weight rules and maybe allowed more people from regionals to progress
yeah what do you want him to get a penalty of 10 points for weaving slightly on the start. grow up mate your just a salty guy who cries about someone being of legal weight and overall one of the best in the country at the weight catagory. proves this by coming 4th in the national final and robbed of 3rd. Think you just need to improve on getting your weight down if your going to cry about other people being lighter than you. Also the loading your doing towards the end of the semi also worth a penalty dont act like your perfect in every way. calling someone a cheater is childish and your just gonna have to accept that other people are better than you. no hate but dont hate on other people for being good and just get better

@DADnLAD.Racing it definitely hinders you if you were a heavier driver. SuperChamps do it better where they weight you and put ballast on.
Only two points off is a joke IMO, needed to be more
