Honestly...we should have edited the documentary some weeks after filming all these parts in Newcastle, but were waiting as we got new material all the time (meeting bands at festivals etc.)... In the end we had too much footage for just two people who should work on this "when they find the time".... Today all the stuff is distributed on at least 15 different harddrives, mixed up with full concerts of bands etc. No chance to get that under control
For years I always wondered what happened to the man who helped record some of my favourite albums,. I am so happy to have found this and watched it! Absolute gold! GOLD I SAY!
@@stopmotionmoron2373 He obviously is a very respectful guy and valued all the guys he worked with. Seems like a really good guy and his philosophy on things throughout the interview have defo stuck with me regarding production.
Neudi, hi from the guys in Scrollkeeper. We played with you in Houston 2018. Good times! We just released our LP, in case interested: scrollkeeper.bandcamp.com Great interview, I've always wondered what/how things happened at Neat Rec's.
In many interviews Venom said that they are not NWOBHM. I don´t agree with them, but I guess I was the first doing such a compilation and respecting their view. Main title of the CD/LP is "Essential NWOBHM"
Would love to see the whole documentary

Oh this is a nice little historical post. Thank you.
Great stuff!
Been always wanting to hear the story on this iconic label. How about Ebony Records?
Hot damn. I always wondered just wtf that sound was that's going on in the beginning of Black Metal. LOVE hearing about this kind of crazy stuff!
Großartig! Danke, Neudi!
Very cool interview!!
Part 2 of this documentary is hopefully coming out soon yes?
How are you considered a record producer and make records that sound as bad as those Venom albums?
I am really sorry, but you seem to have absolutely no clue what it´s all about. I would prefer this guy before any Andy Sneaps of this world!
@@NeudiTheChannel Amen, brother. Venom was rough as fuck and nasty as Hell.
Those albums were perfect.

I'm amazed Keith Nichol still remembers my name lol it's over 30 years ago
