omfg!! I'm from Czech Republic, But I moved to NY, because my dad was an American, so we moved here. About the monster "Bubak" my mom always told me "Don't go to the forest by urself, or "Bubak" will find you, and take you away.

Number 9 is similar to a merman legend from Ireland/Scotland I read once called "The Soul Cages". The merman was oceanic and a fisherman liberates the souls from lobster traps/glass bottles while his fishy friend is away, but the concept is the same.

It shows that people through history have great imaginations and feared things they didn't understand. A lot of these creatures were conjured from fables an myths and handed down. Good video, a lot of these figures would make good horror movie an si fi characters.

the creatures sure are scary but I can still feel meh..but when suddenly the ones from malaysia pop up, i get scared.
Now i realize that if the creatures are from cultures that aren't related to me, i still can ignore the rising fear. But if the associated creatures come from my culture, i get scared easily since I have been growing up with their stories. Great job btw.

Pontianak do exist but the legends was a bit unreal. They had never been human and are just jinns. It's the same case for penanggal.
Bubak is kinda like pennywise, Boogeyman and death put into one
