Lucky Ali was using drugs when Mehmood decided to make this movie. Mehmood wanted lucky to act but he denied saying the movie lacked hope. I guess mehmood wanted to give lucky a life lesson by making a movie even though he knew the story is not trending. Eventually the move was a flop and lucky never gave up drugs. Sad tho😢

There are a lot other movies where the evil effects of drugs are highlighted and how one shouldn't go behind them. Watch Sanju you'll know how well the scenes of Sanju falling for drugs and then how he recovers, are directed. Superb direction. The song in which Sanju recovers is really motivating. Please read things clearly, understand and then comment.

Yeah that movie is good and motivational for only rich kids like sanjay dutt but but but a common middle class youth need something realistic and scarry storry because most of people get drugs addiction in early age with less life experiences and knowledge for a normal people sanju movie is only for entertainment. I think udta punjab is far better than sanju and this movie is fabulous because its so scarry and the best way to Foreclose youth from drugs. I have watched this movie in 90s as kid and never watched it again but still some scenes revolving in mind till now.
