Excelente versión. El coro, las danzas la coreografía en general,; tenor y barítono admirables en el canto y como actores sin menospreciar a la soprano. El Inermezzo " Crisantemo"es de los más bellos que compuso Puccini. Es algo corta pero la cantidad de música que contiene es mas que suficiente para todos los públicos. No me canso de repetirlo. Gracias.

Puccini was only about 25 when he composed this opera and it’s so good, it was apparent then that he was on track for a stellar career, he was a gifted genius who gave us the most wonderful music, the tenor who sang the part of Roberto in this production was brilliant, I wish him all the best for his future

Наконец, посмотрела я этот спектакль. Ожидание было долгим и хотелось бы вживую, поэтому спасибо огромное за эту онлайн версию, качество записи достойное, очень понравилось. Прелесть просмотра в записи - наличие крупного плана, где можно рассмотреть детали костюма и грима, особое удовольствие такое.
Теперь о спектакле, музыка безусловно прекрасная, исполнение волшебное. Но я как зритель неподкованный и эгоцентричный, всегда воспринимаю происходящее через призму своего личного так сказать мировоззрения. Прочитавший либретто, сразу поймет, что в столь скудное описание сюжета, можно напихать неслыханное количество смыслов. Что же увидела я: уж не знаю, как оно было задумано, но мне всю дорогу было жаль главного героя Роберто. С самого первого действия становится понятно, что на молодого человека возложены огромные ожидания вечной любви и преданности, хотя детали его отношений с невестой Анной находятся как бы за кадром. По ходу сюжета молодой человек попадает в общество красивых женщин, которые как один жаждут его соблазнить. А он такой вроде как впечатлительный и увлекающийся персонаж, который в силу молодости и свойственной ей жажды жизни не в силах устоять соблазнам. По сюжету Роберто должен быть злодеем, который обманул свою невесту, оставил ее и тем самым довел до смерти. Но ребята, вот реально, много ли вы встречали людей, которые умерли именно от неразделенной любви? Даже в литературе сложно найти. Зато гораздо больше случаев, когда брошенная женщина, особенно не замужем и о ужас! беременная, оказывалась под нехилым общественным давлением. В прошлом на судьбе такой девушки можно было поставить крест. Давление общественного стереотипа о том, как должна вести себя девушка до замужества и после (отсутствие замужества, заметьте, вообще не опция), могло приводить к тому, что девушки передавали это давление дальше на потенциальных женихов, что до сих пор оказывает на мужчин действие пугающее. Мораль сей басни видится мне в желании доброго отношения общества к любым проявлениям любви и отношений и уважения к свободе выбора других людей, что актуально и по сей день. По-хорошему, должно быть жалко обоих героев, и так оно и есть. Разве что Анну жаль немного меньше, ибо она выбрала обиду и месть, хотя могла простить и пожелать счастья человеку, которого вроде как любила. Вот такая ситуация мне нарисовалась при просмотре этой постановки через призму своих же тараканов. Засим, не претендую на истину. Если автор хотел сказать что-то подобное, то это просто мега попадание и точная передача морали сей басни. Очень эстетичными были сирены, прямо какое-то очень красивое зло. Вот в это кстати верю, ибо зло не абсолютно и часто привлекательно. Вот любовь в виде полянки с бабочками вызывает больше вопросов, но порой она нам действительно кажется именно такой, особенно в юности :))) Отдельных комплиментов заслуживает Владимир Громов. Еще довольно молодой артист для такой роли сумел передать скромную грусть отца, без надрыва и заламывания рук, что было бы не к месту, ну и грим с благородной сединой ему очень идет, такой красивый печальный образ любящего отца получился. В общем, всем рекомендую, очень хотелось бы увидеть эту историю в живую!

Act 1’s ensemble prefigures the hymn in _Cavalleria rusticana_ which premiered 6 years later.
Such a cleaver and fascinating production. Very innovative and traditional at the same time. Rare this days. Hope to see more of this incredible director
The production was strange and messy. It's no good if the audience are trying to guess what it all means! The plot is meant to be similar to "Giselle". Though a good dancer, showing a lot of leg, she would have been better as a seductress like Lorelei, the Sirens etc.. On one entrance we could hardly see her as she departed rather abruptly after kicking Roberto. What did the huge veil signify? And the lit up globes at the end? I may recommend them for a rather bizarre production I'm in to represent moons. Can they be purchased? It's a free version of the Brothers Grimm more specifically "Der Mond" "the Moon". Nice musically but why introduce "Crisantemi"? I know they represent death.

Bravísimo! Muy buena representación Pucciniana de esta ópera menos conocida pero no por ello excelente y, comparable a sus otras "hermanas" (La Bohème, M.Butterfly, Turandot, Suor Angelica).

滅多に上演されないプッチーニの初期のオペラをここまで仕上げるというのはさすがですね。

The orchestra and the conducting are superb! The sound of the strings is lush, and I have never heard them so clearly articulated before in this opera, which has been one of the pillars of my existence - both as a person and as a composer - since I first heard it when I was 14 (I'm 76 now). The tenor's singing is superb, especially in his big aria; his acting is also good. The soprano sings less well, and I don't like her acting at all - which is perhaps in part the fault of the director. For instance, the moment when Roberto and Anna are finally left alone: she gives him forget-me-nots, and he replies, "I would like a sweeter gift from you?" She asks, "Which?" and he answers, "A smile!" But up to this point, in this production, she has been smiling practically all the time. I also don't get what this fashionable business about enormous pieces of cloth, which appears nowadays almost everywhere, is all about. "Entanglement," surely - but their usage is far more ambiguous. The insertion of "Crisantemi" at the point where the "Tregenda" is supposed to be performed is very bold, and the audience, who usually hardly knows this opera at all, will not understand it ("Crisantemi" was composed some eight years AFTER "Le Villi" and is in a very different musical diction.). One could interpret the way it is staged as emphasiing the proximity of love and death, which is of course an eternal topos. In total, I don't find the choreography or the way is is employed in this production convincing at all.

It was intended as a homage to “Torna ai felici dì” that I composed in B-flat Minor the song which eventually turned into the prelude to Act 2 of my second opera, „Eine Nacht an der Newa“ after Dostoevsky's “Belye nochi”: ruclips.net/video/4n1oDCeLSTo/видео.html. Incidentally, my paternal grandparents were born and grew up in the shtetl Teterino, Rayon Mogilev; they emigrated to New York in 1905.
