So stoked to see this thing on the road, great work man! I really like the way you've gone about this project adressing the fundamentals like steering and braking first rather than just throwing on power upgrades as soon as you got it. Nice music choice in this vid as well.
Started watching your channel right when you bought this old goat! Glad to see she's back up and running. Love everything you and the boys are doing! Keep it going, it's giving me the motivation to get a Cummins back in my life. Personally would have gone with the flat top stack though but that's just me.
Iv had my project truck for two months and I have only taken the thing apart. My first gen has the same paint from the factory as yours but it is getting painted black.love watching your videos.
Hey Greg A, I found your channel a couple of months back when looking for info on the 12v Cummins! I live in the UK and Rams are rare here. although a friend does have a 1500 with a Hemi😒... the only trucks we get here in the UK are really the same size as the Danger Ranger, we don't even get F150/Ram 1500 (only on import). Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the videos, they really are awesome, and thanks for teaching me so much about a truck/engine I'll probably never get to see in real life never mind own! Good luck with the future, keep it up!!
You may have already, but just in case you didn't, you might check out the bottom corners of the radiator support. I have a 91.5 and I had to massage the corners a little bit so they didn't bite into the bottom of the end caps of my Mishimoto radiator.
Greg on the Lincoln locker idea. I welded the open 11.5aam in my 05 dodge and broke two shafts. One at 550whp and at 630whp from hopping.. I haven't broke a shaft since I added caltracs. it's a ton of fun with a spool. Make sure and clean the carrier good with non chlorinated brake cleaner and cover the bearings in thick tin foil. spray into the splines an anti slag spray. most you can just clean out with a flat head. try to heat up evenly before you weld it. cool it down slowly w/ torch then bury it in a bucket filled with kitty litter.. dont stress if you hear a couple loud crack noises. lol 30k of abuse and 4 sets of rear tires later it's still going strong. hardest part was lifting the carrier back into the housing, lol. 👍
first test in mine today- wheel fell off. I may have forgotten to tighten the lugs in the adapters. I don't know, I thought I did. rechecked all lugs, ill see if the wheels stay on tomorrow morning
one suggestion on the first gen is watch the upper balljoints they sometimes like to pop out since they are threaded in i would suggest putting a couple of small stitch welds (where you can get to them with a grinder ofcourse). my buddy just had his pop out with no warning and ended up having to buy a new upper arm at 200 bucks a piece a weld is much cheaper
Truck looks really clean so far Greg. The wheels and tires look way better on the truck! In my opinion the hood stack is a few inches to tall but the truck looks awesome.
The look of stoked on your face. Love it. Know the feeling. Loving the vids. Literally bought the exact same spec truck as you at the exact same time and found your channel. Pumped on your build. The only thing I can see different is I have a manual trans and burgundy interior. Truck looks awesome and was wondering - will Greg be getting her a little lower? ;) Keep up the good work and thanks from Canada!
That truck is really sweet of course it's still a work in progress but great job I think it'd look good painted gun metal grey if you decide to paint it
To fix the brake/abs light check the break pedal sensor. The bracket that they have are flimsy and bend and then your brake lights will be on all the time and will turn brake and abs light on. Happened to mine. Simple fix just bend it back😂
Watching all these videos has convinced me to pull the trigger on my own deletes. I look forward to these videos more than any of my other subscriptions!
Man now that's a slick looking truck?with the hood stack and the tire/wheel setup. I'd look for some way to protect that patina and call it a day. Awesome video as usual Greg.
Greg! That dude said South Africa! You should be of yourself brother. Haven't missed a vid since I first saw you guys with the sendit locating tool😂😂😂 thank you for clean videos too man. God Bless
Greg! I feel somewhat inspired to keep my first gen resto going. any idea if any of your buddies have a lock on a clean first gen 8ft bed? I'm the state down from you let me know!
Lovin the look of the truck .. just get some bumpers and drop that front end down a touch and your golden .. wheels dont look as bad on the truck as they do off the truck lol
Greg A lives 15 minutes from me and he always vlogs in phillipsburg and shit yet I never see the dude hahaha. Great vids man hope to see you pull at the warren county fair this summer 👍
Ahh, now I know where I saw NAPA....Transmission fluid, I knew I wasn't crazy...Greg, oil talk! Lincoln lock?! We don't want to see the ford again! Swap a modern rear from a 2wd with posi
Really curious on your piping for your hood stack and how you made it or where you got it made? Would love to hood stack mine but just so confused with the piping and making it all fit as clean as you did yours, looks awesome!
Greg been waiting just under 2 months for a burnout, we need some audio on those burnouts brother no music! keep up the good work. next up the 05 can't wait
I think the first gen just became my favorite truck out of all of them
yep, first gen just stole the show!!!

Greg, great video!! I know you like suggestions but for filling up a coolant system without burping it, grab a AirLift tool. works wonders!!

Greg your doing a hell of a job buddy. We all see and feel your true passion. Keep it up!!
It's best to pour the distilled (like anyone uses that) first that way if it leaks it's not precious coolant
That truck is really sweet of course it's still a work in progress but great job I think it'd look good painted gun metal grey if you decide to paint it

"Hey what's going on guys, so before I get started I just wanna say YES there's no block, but we're just going for a short drive it'll be fine!"

WDesign the Greg A First gen short drive block delete.
It will destroys the turbo before it does anything to the motor
Enough said, turbo delete time
Are hood stacks legal in Jersey? Are the tires sticking out legal there also? Here in north central PA the cops would have a field day.
I think he's in Mexico. 😂
Honestly ide leave the body the way it is. Just put a clear coat on it. Love the old weathered look of the truck. Adds character
