It’s nice to finally see Star Trek Enterprise being recognized by the Star Trek franchise as a wholly recognized part of Star Trek story cannon. From it’s references in Star Trek Beyond, to it’s most recent recognition with the revealing of Archer Space Dock in the season 4 episode 1 of Star Trek Discovery. It gave me goosebumps when they played a few bars of the Enterprise closing theme as the new Space Dock was lit up for the first time on display. It felt like a long overdue moment of silent reverence and recognition for the USS Enterprise NX-01 crew and their storyline. I dare say it had me a little misty eyed ladies and gents. NX-01 Enterprise and her crew went where no man had ever gone before, and the series itself before it’s time. I’d like to think of Star Trek Enterprise as a marker in the Star Trek universe for where it all started after Cochran’s first warp flight in Star Trek: First Contact. Hopefully there’ll be other Star Trek series and movies telling the stories of the early days of Starfleet. I was hoping it was going to be the story Star Trek Enterprise was going to tell, and not only start telling in the absolute last damn episode of the series. Leaving us all like “did it just start the series or did it just end it? What the hell?!” They waited till the very last episode in the series to start telling the damn story. Anybody else felt like that after watching Enterprise’s series ender? So there’s definitely now a vacuum to be filled in story telling that the franchise is conspicuously revisiting and making more visibly often, making the fans want to know more about it. Stories the franchise need not fear telling thanks to the success of Star Trek series like Voyager, Deep Space Nine, and now Star Trek Discovery. And also worth mentioning, hit new hit animated series like Star Trek Lower Decks and now spanking brand new Star Trek Prodigy. It’s like Star Trek is finally waking up to the realization that Star Trek fans really love Star Trek. Who knew?!
This song actually hits me on a personal level and makes me cry every single time I hear it. I've been psychologically and emotionally abused my entire life by my parents. My mother is a gaslighting, self-centered, egomaniacal, entitled, narcissistic Karen and my father is a petty, tyrannical, "my way or the highway", argumentative perfectionist with OCD. They've always teamed up against me in an argument so no matter what I always lost even if I was in the right. They constantly invalidate my feelings, disregard my opinions, make me manage their emotions, and force me to do things for them. If I refuse to do what they want or say I'll do it later, they resort to yelling/screaming or guilt-tripping me, or both in order to manipulate me into getting what they want. They treat me like a servant and if I dare to tell them how I feel or tell them that I don't deserve to be treated the way they're treating me, they turn the tables to make me the bad guy (and usually they'll play the victim in the process) and might end up retaliating against me (I dared to speak up against them treating me like an employee once and my father retaliated by being the worst "boss" ever, constantly barking orders at me and asking me what I was doing for him several times an hour for a week until he thought I'd "learned my lesson") in some form. This has caused severe, therapy-grade problems. I have been diagnosed with PTSD, Anxious Distress, Major Depressive Disorder, chronic (and severe) psychophysiological insomnia, severe social anxiety (I'm terrified of saying the wrong thing in social situations, but the fear hasn't resulted in shyness, rather in a tendency to look back on social situations after the fact and hyper-analyze them), severe agitation/irritability, and nightmares about my parents and daily life. I'm 38 now and still living with them because I can't move out. They control my entire life. Despite all of that though, when I cry while listening to this song, I cry tears of hope. I see myself stepping through the front door of my own apartment, away from my parents, for the very first time. I see an unfurnished space, but I also see so much potential just because the space is MINE, a space my parents can't just wander into whenever they feel like (yes, they do that, I have zero privacy). This song fills me with hope and reminds me of the reason I'm still here: My faith and my friends. I have zero doubt that without my faith and 3 special people, I would have killed myself several years ago. When the song says "It's been a long road, getting from there to here", yeah it's been a long, rocky path to get to where I am now (I'm trying to scrape together everything I need to get away from them somehow) and I know the path ahead is long and rough, but when I envision myself stepping through that apartment door, I look back on that long road and think to myself "on that day, it'll be worth it, the torture will finally be at an end". When the song says "I will see my dream come alive" it fills me with hope that maybe I can achieve my dream of finally moving away from them. When the song says "they're not gonna hold me down no more" it fills me with strength and fire and the will to stand up to my parents. When the song says "they're not gonna change my mind" I think to myself that I'm going to move out no matter what and they're not going to stand in my way. When the song says "I've got faith to believe I can do anything" it reminds me that through my faith I gain much-needed strength and with my faith there's nothing I can't achieve. When the song says "I've got strength of the soul, no one's gonna bend or break me" it gives me a fierce determination to not bend or break in the face of their abuse and to never back down. When the song says "I can reach any star" it reminds me that no matter how distant or difficult to reach a goal might be, no matter how insurmountable the odds might seem or how long the road ahead might look, it's possible to reach any star, to achieve any goal. And last but certainly not least, when the song says "I've got faith of the heart", that bit always reminds me of those 3 special people that have been there for me these past years, without whom I have zero doubt I wouldn't have made it this far, let alone to my eventual goal of freedom and independence. I love all three of you. This song will always have a special place in my heart and will always inspire me to reach for the stars, no matter how distant they might seem and it will always remind me that despite the distance and the challenges, I'll get there eventually.
I love when Star Trek breaks the mold. I hope for there to be Star Treks in many genres, with many different openings that fit the taste of many different peoples. The fact that there are Treks that people dislike which others love and enjoy is amazing. It means we have started diversity. There's hope for more. There's a chance for more, and a message to always be striving for progress.
I think the gripe with this is that it’s lots of generic stock footage pieced together set to a Rod Stewart song from the late 90s. Initially, it looks like something you’d see before a run of the mill NASA documentary. In the end, it works and is very inspiring. Not to mention I’ve never really listened to Rod Stewart but damn does this song ring true as I enter my 40s.

People call this awful because it's not like the other more epic intros. This show is about where the federation started, where the Enterprise started. People had barely left earth. I love that it's more folksy. Don't get me wrong, TNG has the best intro of all time. This isn't that, and that's okay.
Lotta people in the comments think light speed is impossible? Look up the Alcubiere drive. Not possible for us to manufacture, but it IS physically possible, and we know why. I think that's a pretty big step for us.

❤❤❤
I think Enterprise was an awesome show amd this was an beautiful opening
I love when Star Trek breaks the mold.
I hope for there to be Star Treks in many genres, with many different openings that fit the taste of many different peoples.
The fact that there are Treks that people dislike which others love and enjoy is amazing. It means we have started diversity.
There's hope for more. There's a chance for more, and a message to always be striving for progress.
This a song that screams "pioneer". Probably my second favorite after only TNG. This song gives me faith...faith of the heart.
I always loved the intro & song.
Russell made the trek the truly beautiful song to grace First Star ship Enterprise
The gripe was more that the intro wasn’t orchestral like the previous shows.
@@mapleflag6518 but who needs an orchestra when you’ve GOT FAITH….OF THE HEARRRRT?
Couldn’t resist, yes I agree.
The best Star Trek intro, too bad that there were only 4 seasons, it's legendary, i've had it run on repeat for thousands of times, and it stil sounds great :)
Feel that man my favorite Star Trek and the theme song is so great
I always listen to this before I play Star Trek Online. In my Enterprise-F vessel.😍
Hard to believe over 14 years ago yeah still my favorite Star Trek
I actually gave this show a chance and I was extremely impressed. The intro really does give you a feel of the spirit of Star Trek.. Love this intro
At first I thought this intro wasn't that great but it certainly grew on me throughout the show
This show deserved 7 seasons
The first and second seasons just too bad to continue.
Of all the Star Trek series opening INTROS... This was the most VOCOL INTRO bar far Beating original..next gen..ds9..voyager... But if you listen to them all... In order of release.. And pay attention. Youcan pick up on what each theme INTRO was trying to express weather in vocals or just Orchestral tone and content....... Or at least I can
This is the best upload of this beautiful song on YT. Thank you Ruicruzlx!
People call this awful because it's not like the other more epic intros.
This show is about where the federation started, where the Enterprise started. People had barely left earth. I love that it's more folksy.
Don't get me wrong, TNG has the best intro of all time. This isn't that, and that's okay.
This Star Trek Enterprise Season 1 Theme song is Awsome and so is Wherever You Are End Title From Winnie The Pooh's Most Grand Adventure
wow. just wow.
Linda Park dropped something. My jaw! Ultra-pretty woman.
exceptionally well made intro for this show.
I only ever got to watch/hear the song because it meant it was bed time. Now the nostalgia is strong with this one.
Maybe the theme isn't as good as Voyager, but the video clips make it the best ever ♥
Its still an inspiring theme song to me.
Lotta people in the comments think light speed is impossible? Look up the Alcubiere drive. Not possible for us to manufacture, but it IS physically possible, and we know why. I think that's a pretty big step for us.
Whoever invents war drive probably watched Star Trek lol
I think the person who developed the theory for warp drive was indeed a fan of Star Trek.
It’s not possible for the human body. But maybe for a machine.
Aight bois, let’s teach those Vulcans some illogical nonsense.
I don't hate the song or the series, but it is so 90s! Looking at this series now, the intro song really puts a time stamp on it
I came here after the falcon 9 launch, it's amazing what we have acomplished as a human race, we will get to deep space one day...
As the years have gone by I’ve come around to this. Maybe it’s just because I’m getting old but this was the last Star Trek property that wasn’t a dumpster fire but I find myself getting misty-eyed watching this now.
I love this so much
The Star Trek Enterprise series is good. I am at season 2 of Enterprise
The best one in the series
its perfect😭😭😭🤧🤧🤧
Love it.
Best part of the whole series
Love the song.
why am i the only one that thinks enterprise was way more entertaining than TOS or TNG. and i like how they made the vulcan kinda sexy
Star Trek Enterprise was actually a pretty good series. I think it didnt do well because people couldnt get past the song LOL
I loved that song. ❤
I came here for the Europa mission from ST: PIC. Love the connection in this sequence now. :D
Happy 20th anniversary to STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE. One might say that it's been a long... well, you know the rest.
Loved this show!
This theme opener just seemed like a jingle for soda pop or bubble gum (or Mentos)....but there's a real phenomenon here: Ater I saw it a few more times & synchronized it with the visual story unfolding....this Opening sequence is a masterpiece depicting optimism into the future of flight & space travel..
I like it.
immortal intro.
*barf*
0:38 RIP Chuck Yeager.
2018 I was thinking this was a cover of someone else's song. To me its so perfect for Enterprise.
It’s actually a cover if a rod stewart song...not sure if it existed before that, but this guy took it to a new level.
It doesn't fit at all.
It fits a country southern Christian rock weep fest
Happy Star Trek day 2024 🖖
When I finally decided to give Star Trek: Enterprise a chance I fell in love when this came on.
Catchy theme
Enterprise was a freaking amazing show worthy the name of Star Trek! At the very least, romulans still feel like romulans being treacherous and deceitful. Klingons still look like klingons! Unlike what we had in Discovery like what in the world is that
This intro is as good as any anime opening! Convince me otherwise!
Earth is Flat, Space is fake and this tear jerker song is to get to believe in space, as the song says "I got faith" you need faith to believe in fake space.
Did I change your mind Now 🤣😂🤣😂
@@mynamemylastname7179 Nice try, reptoid spy.
fantastic!!
Last night on Netflix 😢
thank you!!!
Anyone form the navy gets this big time. Maybe even space force. The real OG's.
We're going back to the Moon!
Song makes you feel like going to church.
igot faith ... and i hope i am not alone ....
This might seem strange, but I never knew of this show till a couple weeks ago.
The bad part of the future as described by Star Trek is things are gonna have to go a whole lot worse before they get better.
Are you talking about their time travel?
@@dreamfall77 Nah, I meant before the utopian times we get to see, they had the horror of nuclear war. Yes, the human race united and reached for the stars, but not before it almost killed itself.
@@andreidragostin In my opinion, the described option is unworkable. After nuclear Armageddon, there will be no one to unite and reach for the stars.
S'mores and just about space exploration I listen to the lyrics and it's much about my personal life the way it's gone
why did they change it for season 3 maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan
Season 3 intro was still good. It was just a bit more upbeat, country sounding. I'll take it any day over anything from Discovery or Picard.
I love this song. 😍
I feel likes its all the good in human spirit tied together in the hope and joy of space exploration and making new allies and just being a good and just force in the universe. 💖
Also fuck them for changing it in season 3 😂
This intro 😭😭😭😭
You Should do Enterprise opening titles of Winnie The Pooh's Most Grand Adventure Style
I liked this show. There was some 'on the nose' stuff that definitely wasn't needed (like the decontamination "rub down" scenes), but overall it was cool.
Who's here after William Shatner Blue Origin?
I really wish they would reboot this series and this time do it right.
This intro has more metal in it, compared to other versions that came letter. The first intro was the best intro.
The strength of humanity if it stopped destroying itself
This is only quarter strength. Full strength would be the Imperium of Man.
@@mapleflag6518Imperium is literally destroying itself harder than we are, wtf you on about?
