    People should remember that there are different ways of giving, you may not have money to offer a person but you may have a service, or skill that the person can use. If a neighbor needs their grass cut and you have a lawn mower, you can offer your service to that neighbor. Giving is something that is offered from the heart and God's knows are heart and when we are differently being a cheerful giver, Amen. Thanks for another great reading of another great lesson Elder Jones.

      This is so true, we should find ourselves actively helping others, with or without money. Powerful statement

      Elder Jones I will let you know the results of my teaching. I will let the class know also that as their knowledge in Christ grows they will grow because Christ stands up in them, and then their knowledge of what should be done in any and every given situation, whatever we do is biblically sound; Christ bound and spiritually led. What a profound statement!!

    Elder, you have again taught a lesson beautifully. Love this lesson. Doing my best to be an excellent teacher. My prayers are with you and your family. This lesson should be taught to many leaders in the church who burden their sheep thru coercion or deceit. Our giving must be done with a willing heart and love. Again, thank you for this lesson.

      You are so right, this topic of giving needs to constantly be revisited, retaught, and done right. No believer should ever be burdened to give.

    Praise the Lord! Your teaching is rich, enlightening and exciting. Thank you for faithfully giving a splendid lesson to the masses. COGIC (lol :-)) really wants to do that which is right... in Jesus name. You stated it graciously and moved on :-))... I am seeing churches supporting other churches and ministries even the more, praise the Lord. "The Number One Example" is Jesus, Hallelujah!!! Thank You Jesus, to God be the Glory ...though He was Rich, He became poor... from Splendor, Creator, King of kings, Lord of lords, Angels, Thrones, Brightness, Glory ... to Earth Suit... My God, My God...Hallelujah, "powerful, powerful example." Amen. I am so appreciative...Thank You r Jesus...Hallelujah! "He spoke it...and it manifested. Hallelujah!!! Bless the Lord..."What's in y/our heart?" Good, good, good stuff... Bless Him real good!!! Let's continue... when we have purposed to do good, evil is present... the enemy will throw distractions or hurdles in the way. Sometimes it is subtle ... and we miss it...even an unwilling heart can be influenced from an ungodly source. Giving is a great way of Living. Bless the Lord, God puts the "want to" in our heart and God gives seed to the sower, thank You Jesus. Beautiful, we want our giving to be "love-motivated." This is real good.... and I know what to do. :-)) Blessings! And praying... in Jesus name.

    I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (June 27, Pentecost 5), this was our New Testament/Epistle of the Day. Corinth: the New York City/Las Vegas of the Bible. Agree or disagree? Feel free to reply.

    You stated that this is the 2nd letter that Paul is writing to them. My Bible states that Paul wrote at least 4 letters to the Christians in Corinth. The 1st letter...it states no longer exist....was about Paul ordering them to stop associating with immoral people. Evidence of this would be found in 1 Corinthians 5:9. And because the Corinthians misunderstood what Paul meant by this he wrote them a 2nd letter which we know as 1 Corinthians. Here Paul is clarifying his instructions that he gave in his first letter and he’s advising them about matters that was troubling them. 1 Corinthians upset them even more and he wrote them a 3rd letter which wasn’t preserved but appeared to calm things down a bit. Paul wrote a 4th letter in about AD 57, what we know as 2 Corinthians and he is back on reasonable terms with them. He was happy they had changed their ways and was now eager to see them (2 Corinthians 7:8-16) ..so there you have it...according to my Bible in the introduction of the book of 2 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians is the 4th letter and not the 2nd letter....what say you...smile.

    • @RodneyJonesTeachings
      @RodneyJonesTeachings  6 лет назад

      " what say ye" lololol that's how I post questions on Facebook! Wow I just got hit with my own words! 🤗. I agree about the other letters, what I'm calling second letter is the letters we have preserved and not the apparently lost ones. I know if the fact the church of Corinth got upset with Paul and apparently stopped the process of giving, and then he is now encouragement them to give in what is called 2 Corinthians. So as I stand betwixt to Rocks, I agree this not the second letter, however this the second letter according to the Canon of scriptures ( 66 books) that we have.

      Greetings, sorry about the delay. Great question I won't go outside the lesson. If you check verse 12 and verse 14. Paul says fist of all to them that they can afford to give the money that they have set aside a year ago to give. ( Other churches gave out of poverty) in verse 14 Paul uses the term Abundance when it comes to the church of Corinth, he says when they give out of their abundance ( which means more then enough, or even enough and some left over) it will meet the needs of the others so that they when they get an abundance can give to the Corinthian Church if they ever lack.
      So the church of Corinth and even the city had money.

    as always good lesson. greetings from Md 👋 we should always be willing and prepared to give. not only money but also time and give cheerfully. just this past weekend we had a back to school rally and passed out bookbags. the smile on those faces really warmed our hearts. since God owns it all we should freely give it away. Jesus set the ultimate example when he gave us his all. and when we give don't remember and when we receive don't forget. 🎵Jesus I'll never forget what you done for me🎶
    Bless you Elder Jones btw where is your church located?

      I love it! It is a great thing to see smiley faces while giving to the needs or even the wants to others. There is a great joy that over comes me when I'm doing for others and like you said, to see the smiles on the faces pays for it all.
      Great job on helping the kids.

    Elder Jones you had started to say a little something about giving, my question is I know tithe is a commandment under the law and we are under Grace can you tell about your veiw on tithe paying today please. Don't want to stir up nothing I just really want to know your view. Thanks once again for another great lesson.

    • @RodneyJonesTeachings
      @RodneyJonesTeachings  6 лет назад +4

      Mmmmmmmm 😎😎😂. Very interesting topic of discussion. Tithing predates the law of tithing , but God instituted the law of tithing to take care of the Levites, and the Levites tithe to the priest. Also the third year of tithing went to the widows, fatherless, etc. We don't do such things in this day and time. In the new testament tithing is not mentioned..... Gonna stop right there 🤗😎😂

    • @RodneyJonesTeachings
      @RodneyJonesTeachings  6 лет назад +1

      Everything we say and do must be scripture based. Proper interpretation of scripture is so vital and important. I'm re reading the Bible from a different view now. I don't want to support what I think or know, I want to know what God says in His word even if it's against what I've been teaching all these years. Malachi is not to the Church, we are not a nation " you have robbed me even this whole nation" Israel is a nation..... Ummmmm something to think about 😎

    Also, the thing about denominations which does separate and for a number of reasons...one being that it sorta kinda tells individuals what Biblical principals you are or are not following...what I am annoyed about is when churches take organizational principals and try to justify them with it being Bible principals....example...the wearing of pants for woman...Deut 22:5...and dats all I’m gonna say..smile

  • @karenleader5537
    @karenleader5537 6 лет назад +1

    Please don’t chew my head off. But are you saying that a ‘church’ should lend financial support to another ‘church’ if the other ‘church’ isn’t preaching what the first ‘church’ deems as the ‘full gospel of Jesus Christ? Thus....giving support that is contributing to that church’s congregation to be ‘left behind’...Do you understand what I’m presenting to you?

    • @RodneyJonesTeachings
      @RodneyJonesTeachings  6 лет назад

      Lol no I'm saying the Body of Christ regardless of local location should support itself . Each church should support the other church regardless of denomination. Remember denomination is made man simply because we see things differently.

    • @RodneyJonesTeachings
      @RodneyJonesTeachings  6 лет назад

      Also I used the term denomination but not different religion
